Somebody brought up a great point. If the previous season's record negatively influences recruiting, then explain Bama's recruiting success this past February...
well i think our 5-6 record had more to do with him leaving than CPF calling him Craig. BTW he was only a 3*.
also last year's high school class in Bama was one of the best ever, they could've gone 0-12 and still end up with a top 10 class. Tennessee has nowhere near the in-state talent Bama does, so we have to recruit out of state. Kids don't want to go out of state to play for a team that didn't even make a bowl game.
9 of the top 10 players in Tennessee have offers from such places as Georgia, Bama, and Auburn (with the last top 10 player being a shacky lean towards LSU)... keep in mind that we won the SEC East last year.
What does that say about our recruiting?
well that's the '09 class you're talking about, it has nothing to do with the '06 class and our '05 football team. I mean sure there are always good players in your state but if we want to be competitive we need to recruit out of state.

He said Fulmer called 5 star RB, 2006 Mr. Football in Tennessee, Graig Cooper from Memphis, ..."Craig"...and it pissed him off enough to dump us and go to Miami.
Attention to details anyone? Doing the little stuff? If you flub a name you surely will flub a game(s).[/QUOTE]
why does it matter?every team misses out on players. Our program is probably better off without his ego and his me attitude.
I'm not sure what is more ludicrous:I don't care if the story is true or not, or if the kid was justified in being peeved about it. I just like the fact that on national television, the details of an error in recruitment by the current leadership hurt this football team was made public. More kindling for the fire.
:clap:
I'm not sure what is more ludicrous:
1) That the story might actually be true and anybody could be that vain
2) That anyone would actually make it out to be indicative of anything other than an honest mistake;
3)That you would actually be happy about it.
