Im 51 years old and this never gets old, just as damn nervous today as the first game I ever saw, and this one means a lot to the team and fans and RECRUITING.:dance2:
Like a big bowl win its been that long, but not no more the BUTCHER is here to stay and stir the ship along the way, just feels good to be a VOL.:lolabove:
Holding breath. Silently... come on son, you got this. Then... YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dog barkin at me like I was crazy. Great day to be a VOL!!!!!
None of us outside of the program's inner circle can truly know and understand how much work has gone into turning this team around. Most of us would crumble if we were to put in the hours of work Butch Jones has this year. And finally, he managed to lead the Vols to turn all that work into a victory against a highly ranked team.
Does he love his players? You bet. Does he love Tennessee? Oh yeah, and I am sure he felt Vols fans fall in love with him at that very moment. Was he gonna cry? I wouldn't deny him the right to shed tears of joy, but I would prefer to see it as some of his greatness just leaking out a little bit.
I saw him kicking the game winner in my head right after his missed the fg earlier in the game. It was his destiny. Kid worked hard and has been through a lot to get to today. Good for him.
held breath , crossed fingers, rubbed stuffed smokey and singin rocky top in my mind with eyes closed...hey its only stupid if it doesn't work right?????
GBO!!!
