I got in line at Pals one day visiting my mom, probably eight cars in front of me. I thought great this will take forever. I had forgotten the way. I was back on stone drive with my food in ten minutes.People in Tennessee/Virginia who have to navigate Pals drive thrus are laughing hysterically at this.
And all that in Turkey Creek is after they moved half a mile down the road just so their drive thru would have more space. It hasn’t made a huge difference. Similar thing has happened in Oak Ridge. They leveled the entire building in order to reconfigure the drive thru, and traffic is just as bad as ever. Instead of building back on the same postage stamp sized lot that is twenty feet from a busy road, they should have attempted to acquire some of the massive disused parking lot with abandoned restaurants across from their current spot.Oh I'm not disagreeing with you there. The Chik Fil A in Turkey Creek even has enough of a distance to accommodate several cars in its drive thru but will still spill out into the road. But I have also seen this happen at Arby's on Lovell. So it's not an isolated issue with Chik Fil A.
The problem is regulations are set based on all fast food, CFA and Starbucks exceed the ratios of their competitors….but they can’t be discriminated against so…..I’d say it’s a Planning and Zoning issue as much as anything. A lot of these places just need to be further from the road or have larger parking lots.
No.Can we just all agree that there is no fast food on earth that you should wait in a line more than 6-7 cars for lol?
That one on Stone Drive may be the most dangerous place in East Tennessee to try and get into. The one on Volunteer Parkway is a close 2nd.I got in line at Pals one day visiting my mom, probably eight cars in front of me. I thought great this will take forever. I had forgotten the way. I was back on stone drive with my food in ten minutes.
Meanwhile the same 42 people were still waiting at CFA.

25 cars deep and they still get you through in 10 minutes. Those guys have mastered the art of speedy drive throughI've never been to an In N Out myself. But last night the Chik Fil A close to where I live seemed to be about 25 cars deep in the drive thru. This was close to 9pm. I like their food but not that much.
Well they did get ahead of the curve and started paying more than other places about 4 or 5 years ago. So they usually have a full staff compared to other places. Plus they seem to be much friendlier then other places. I can honestly say I've never had an issue with an employee being rude there. Speed of service and customer service are a great as you can get. I still think I can get better food elsewhere though. They move the line pretty quickly though.
Hey genius who is responsible for where someone drives and sits in their car when it’s on a roadway. I swear you never want anyone to take responsibility for their actions. Drivers. Criminals. Putin.Oh hell... I should have known Tackleberry was going to blame the customers... or Chick-fil-a for that matter. Not their fault they have a bunch of satisfied customers.
Any fast food in those cities is pitiful. Service is slow, orders are often wrong, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s Taco Bell, Wendy’s, CFA, or something else. CFA’s elsewhere move pretty well even when there’s a lot of cars. Nothing moves well in OR or LC.Oak Ridge CFA made no sense. I think it’s worse now.
Lenoir city is also bad. Cars parked in the turn lane during lunch waiting to get through the drive thru.
