So I now own my first diesel engine, 2000 f350 7.3L V8. It's my first one, any tips or recommendations on normal upkeep would be appreciated. I have been reading what I can find online, but you guys seem to be a wealth of knowledge.

Truth.

Should be legal to drag the over-compensating douche bags that do that out from their lifted diesels and beat them with sticks.

Don't worry about it being legal. Just do it.

You can't live your whole life scared.

Was gonna be my next suggestion if he was inclined. I’ve never had to replace a blown fuse for the horn on any vehicle owned. Blown a few horns out though. Living in a big town will do that

Must have been a heck of a party, don't let Mav know about this.

7.3 is the best ford has. But my suggestion for you is to get rid of it and get a cummins. What do you haul?

Horses. Right now we have a 4 horse slant load with living quarters. Truck and trailer will hopefully be upgraded in the next 3-5 years, when the wife gets out of grad school. This is my first one but every one I talked to before I bought the truck said if I could find a good deal on a 7.3 that would be the way to go.

7.3 powerstroke is the only way to go.

Have you opened up the exhaust yet?
