They are supposedly very knowledgeable and wise and the high council of college football. They are supposed to be non bias and use high integrity in selecting the playoff teams.

Having Athletic Directors on this board is the dumbest idea they ever came up with.

Don't see how you could make a point system work without it devolving into all the teams and conferences gaming the point system.

It doesn't need to be a point system IMO. It just needs to be well crafted criteria that is ALWAYS followed. Examples:

- Teams with the same record: Position based on H2H if the two teams played.
- Record against the top 25 in the CPF ranking (AP and Coaches polls are very political)
- Extra credit to the conference champion WINNERS. No participation trophy for the losers - they lost.
- Comparison to like opponents if there are any

etc.

Alabama deserves to be in over TCU because we all know they could beat TCU. It’s supposed to be the 4 best teams currently right now. The TV ratings will also be higher with Georgia , Bama, Ohio St and Michigan 4 blue bloods. I’m not a Bama fan but Bama is a much better team than TCU. We flushed our chance to get in the playoff away on Nov. 19 that was the last impression we left on the committee.

Do you notice that all 3 former players on the commitee are from the BIG10? Makes you wonder about bias doesn't it.
