Discuss the merits or lack thereof of LSU, or pretty much anything except Bryce Brown

Sounds like good reasons to me. I think he is a Vol too. I will be surprised if he isn't. I also don't think LSU is in the running as much as others think they are.

Yes, the source has been spot on multiple times and there have been many other reliable posters saying their sources are saying the same. Obviously, there is still time for something to happen, but I'm confident he is a Vol.

I'm sure a combination of things led him to considering us. He has the chance to start as a freshman, our staff has a good track record of producing NFL talent, the offense itself will suit Bryce very well, our staff is just that good recruiting, most of the other schools we are competing against have very big flaws in this recruiting battle.

What very big flaws does LSU have in recruiting?

you guys talk like your USC or something, yet your following a 5-7 season and a new HC with zero victories at this level.

Amazing enthusiasm...and homerism going on here..

Get used to looking up at the BAMMERS and OLE MISS. Your day in the sun might be passing....thank Coach Satan for his gifts.

Your team also had the same SEC record as us!

What have yall done since 1997?

We were 8-5 and with a dominate bowl victory over a ranked team. 3-5 in the SEC yes..UGLY, UGLY!

It took us all year to find a QB...work with facts instead of what you hope to happen under Miles.

The next two years, Miles will earn respect...because then the naysayers can no longer say Jack about Saban players?? Urban won with Zooks players...all of them

You can make the same arguement that Miles has done more with Saban players than Saban did... Saban had only one season at LSU 13-1...with one loss, all the rest had at least 3 losses...

Miles went 12-2, 3 straight years..Two sec title appearances, one title one MNC and 4 bowl victories.. 43-11 is pretty strong,,followed by the top recruiting class.

Your coach 0-0

You guys guys need to lay off Miles...it shows how clueless you are a fan. Stay in reality

Seems to me we played LSU in an SEC Championship Game in 2007 that ended as a 1 score game 21 to 14 in favor of Loser State U.

Well, there was that national championship in 1998...

Look, LSU there's no denying that LSU has been one of the most "dominate" programs in the country over that past 5-6 years. They've been excellent. That said, Les Miles is a buffoon.

1997 NC was Nebraska and Michigan split. 1998 was UT. We are Vol fans. I would think we know when we last won the national championship.

1997 season, and the BCS wasn't around then.., or was it?

you're an idiot we won the 99 championship game after the 98 season making us the 98 national champs...this also happens to be the first bcs national championship. i guess you must be 8 years old and weren't around for these events

If Your going to attempt to argue on here at least know what the hell your talking about, UT won the SEC title in 97 and played in the orange bowl and the following year won the first ever BCS title and the following year 1999 played in the fiesta bowl again.

Sorry Apex, but LSU football wasn't exactly "good" before Saban came. It would be insane to tie any success you have had recently to anyone but him. Get a grip man.

Tennessee leads LSU 20-7-3

four of those wins have come since...2000

I'll admit you guys have done really well recently, but remember why it happened and more importantly... remember where you came from.

at Knoxville: 11-2-1
at Baton Rouge: 8-3-2
at Neutral: 1-0
SEC Championship: 0-2

I wouldn't call losing to a half-strength LSU team a great accomplishment.
Other than missing matt flynn at QB how was LSU at half-strength? This was the same team to go on an win the BCS Championship.

Before we start giving them an excuse for their QB missing the game, remember who won the game MVP.

Perrilloux is an awesome talent... just couldn't stay out of trouble off the field. If he focuses on his game, he'll start in the NFL someday while Flynn watches from the sidelines, at best.

You're correcting Tennessee fans on when UT's last national championship was?

Well the Championship games are played in January so many people get the season and what the Trophy says confused.

Example LSU won the BSC in jan of 2008 and Jan of 2004 but were 2007 and 2003 National Champs.. Pardon my ignorance of when UT won their last NC..didn't mean to strike a nerve...so was the National Championship game played in Jan of 1999 and 1998 season Champs.

The point being Vol Fans is, it's been a long time since you have done much in the post season. Which means you should be more humble and less critical of coaches that I am sure you would trade accomplishment with right now.

Les Miles after this season will have been at LSU as long as the great Saban was at LSU, 5 seasons.

5 seasons already

  1. Apextiger gets bored on the tigerdropping site.
  2. He comes here.
  3. Throws the lure out.
  4. We all fetch it.
  5. Apextiger is entertained.
  6. He leaves.
Also bear these things in mind to temper your feelings toward his comments:

1. He lives in Louisiana for God sakes. Louisi - frickin' - ana. Ever been there? Would YOU want to live there?

2. He is an LSU fan....what else would you guys expect from him other than drunken nonsense?

3. His team has been "dominant" of late. Ours hasn't. Yet, he wants to come here and start crap with us - meaning, he either only does this to kick people when he perceives them to be down (i.e. he's a bully), or he's far more concerned about us than even he would be comfortable admitting to himself.

4. Les Miles is his head coach. Les Miles. L-E-S. M-I-L-E-S. Who would want to carry that albatross around your neck? I'd be one the young coaches website talking smack, too - just to forget my own troubles. If only for awhile.

5. Our program has had some up and down years to be sure, but does anyone remember that between 1930 and 1999 LSU's program only finished in the Top 10 a total of NINE (9) times? NINE TIMES in SIXTY-NINE YEARS! Do you know how excruciating that must have been? I'd crow, too.

6. The only other people who he can talk to are the other mouth-breathing frenchies at Tigerdroppings.....would YOU want to be there, talking to them?!?

He's like LAwGator and Wheaton - they hate it, but they know that we have a kick-ass site with truly funny and informative members, and they'd really rather be here, with us, than with their own kind. Actually, they're Tennessee fans at heart, but just can't admit it to themselves at this point. Give it time. Give it time. The Orange is irresistable, baby, let it do its magic.

I'm as guilty as anyone else, but really, why give him what he wants - which is attention and a reaction?

I, for one, am going to put him on my "Ignore" list and do my part to break this vicious cycle.

When all is said and done, the biggest difference in their stays at LSU will be that Saban left voluntarily.
