Discuss the merits or lack thereof of LSU, or pretty much anything except Bryce Brown

I doubt any NFL owner is going to invest much into RP..

It takes a lot more than talent to be a QB in the NFL..

Pretty much when RP was kicked off the team, it cost RP 10's of millions of dollars.. he just doesn't know it yet.

Matt FLynn is #2 on the depth chart for the Packers

And yes the team that Played the Vols was very banged up..in fact every year under Miles we have struggled to the finish line due to injuries , but a month off for bowl prep and we look like world beaters. average pt per victory is almost 30pts

that SECCG game is when Miles took notice of Chavis' abilities

So you are going to blame the fact we almost won the SECCG on LSU injuries, and then turn around and give Chavis credit for that game???

Btw... please don't think I want you to get rid of Miles.

yeah I know what you mean, your so kind :(

you guys crack me up..

Question: did you hire the guy your fan base really wanted or did you find it a bit harder than you thought?

Every fan wants the big fish, household name etc..

"Why wouldn't he want to coach here, we're the best, blah blah."

Lots of factors go into it.. Nick Saban was a no name up coming to LSU.. Most LSU fans were like who???? and then he lost back to back games in TS, and it got ugly quick, but then he could walk on water in the Louisiana 5 years later..

Saban is a great coach and obviously he won over the fans and the nation for his abilities to build a program.

Miles is the lucky winner of inheriting a stock pile of NFL talent.. Can he maintain it?

with this inheritance of talent and program every tom dick and harry is questioning whether the program is faltering under his leadership.. every game..

LSU fans are more critical of him than you, pretty sure of that.. At the same time, he is our coach.

Now if he looses that bowl game as Kirk Herbstreit predicted, we probably have a different feel to the program moving forward. Losing the Arkansas was a tough pill.. I won't lie..It was ugly, because the expectation are so high

dominating GT showed me alot about Les Miles and the team. He doesn't fold under pressure..He got the troops ready and hammered a quality team .

I am just sharing with you what Les Miles said about Chavis upon hiring him

A healthy LSU team probably wins more convincingly..It was a very close game

RP was making his 3rd career start as a RS Sophomore

Question: did you hire the guy your fan base really wanted ...?

Absolutely. He was one of three that many of us wanted from very early in the process: the other two being Gruden and Davis. Both were tied up with their seasons and I, among others, totally felt that Hamilton should not wait and risk losing Kiffin.

The way it turned out, there's no way we could have a better staff than what we've got. So, it's everything we had hoped it would be.

We hired the guy we really wanted and the guy you all really wanted in Ed Orgeron.

Yeah UT fans were so excited about hiring a coach with zero experience running a Div 1 program

You guys have forgotten reality...

Butch Davis is top 5, and he was the right guy for what you need..but he likes it at UNC..

I live in North Carolina...and have actually met Butch Davis and his staff, the AD etc..Quality people..

Davis is proven

Kiffin is not..these are the facts... your program is in the hands of a 33 years old who has done a good job of hiring a stff...lets see what happens on the field before we call him a winner or loser..

he wasn't the guy you wanted..stop being a homer

Bottom line is, it's harder to get the guy everyone wants...for reasons I already mentioned

Go back and read the posts here. Kiffin was very much wanted by a lot of Vols fans.

The flirting with Butch Davis went on for a week or so, but basically, Hamilton wasn't willing to wait and lose out on Kiffin.

You'll see why when we start spanking that Tiger tail. :p

You know, I am so glad that you are here to tell us what our preferences are.

Don't know what we would do without you.

What year was our last NC? I forgot.

This was my first post ever on this website. Would you like to question me any further?

Yes, he has indeed proven that he can lose to his biggest football rival 33-0 at home and that he can choke away a bowl victory to WVU. THAT's QUALITY!!

And he has also proven that without the talent pool in Dade County he is .........well....... not that proven.

And... we gave you the guy we didn't want in Chavis.

'nuf said, Apex?

Your coaching staff can't hold a candle to ours.

These kind of post show you are just filled with emotion and not being reasonable at all. you gave us Chavis? LOL! Last time I check he interviewed and we interviewed and we game him 200k more than UT ever paid him...He is a solid hire, a safe hire as well.. Important to a HC... Bragg all you want about Monte... lets see how it translates into CFB.. lets see how Chavis handles more talent and at a place he is excited about being.. Maybe he got complacent at UT?

i understand you think we got your left overs.. You were married for 17 years and now you have moved on.. I get it..Understandable..You need new blood, and Chavis probably needed a new scene as well

On paper you have a quality staff,at least according you guys, you have the best in the nation, led by a guy who has won anything. Seriously, how do you get so excited about a guy you know nothing about? I don't understand that.

Isn't the HC important?

post something with thought and reason... Instead of jealous hatred... Try reality and respect, you might make more sense

Brown is lock to UT, book it, mail it in, bet the house, done deal..confirmed from multiple sources

so lets have some fun back and forths eh?

i am just try to figure out how you got Brown to sign at his visit like you did with Jackson

I smell NCAA violations big time

Is Coach O pushing the envolope?

How about you reference Volfreak's rules on posting on recruiting boards...

Let's not proclaim Brown as the savior of our offense yet. I'm leaning toward Chaney for that label.

If it turns around, there will be plenty of praise for all.

Chaney does seem to be the man with plan on BB, though. Is he also the lead on OC?

Also, I think a lot of other offensive guys can contibute (Jones, Nuke, a QB with better development, an O-line without confusion, etc). OC and BB just fill out the team.

What would they be ole great one?

Talk about being rational and not filled with envy. Now you are just making excuses.

We MUST be committing violations huh? Even though you have no idea about anything you are talking about.
