Disney +

Here we go again with Disney+ & censorship.

"In one scene towards the end of episode 3, Helmut Zemo shoots a Hydra scientist, but now he no longer has blood on his face and shirt and his eyes are now closed instead of open. In another edited scene, also from episode 3, Bucky Barnes stabs a bounty hunter's shoulder with a metal pipe, pinning her to a shipping container. However, now, the pipe just bounces off her shoulder."

They are going to have their hands full with Daredevil.

All kidding aside, if I watched this today without knowing I wouldn’t notice at all. It would t affect the story.

It actually seems more plausible than editing content a year later but not editing all of it. But I get that it’s more fun to be outraged.

I don’t even call this Censoring.

Dammit the story is ruined without the blood splatter!

If you want a safe space, just do bloodless safe cartoons with a musical score at the end ala Fat Albert.

I’ve watched FAWS twice. I don’t remember the incidences that were edited and if I watched it again I wouldn’t even notice they had been edited.

My point is, Disney didn’t ruin it by editing out some blood.

This show was kinda fun the first few years. Now, saying "stars" is a stretch

Whenever I see the commercials for it I’m like “who is the star and who is the prof dancer”.

It could probably be argued most of the dancers have become bigger stars than the D list public figures they trot out these days.

I think it's always been a stretch. In the earlier seasons the "celebrities" were usually people who you probably knew but they were several years past their peak popularity. But yeah it's even more of a stretch.

This is probably somewhat "old man yelling at clouds" mindset but I've always balked at "celebrity" reality shows that feature "celebrities" who are only famous from being on other reality shows. And now these shows are pulling in internet "celebrities". I get times are changing but I still think "internet famous" is still pretty small compared to even your average reality TV "star". Plus I think we all knew "celebrity" was never going to mean we're going to have Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt showing up on one of these as a contestant but seems like for almost 20 years now reality TV has become the landing point for most fading TV and movie stars.

Watched Rescue Rangers with the kids and I was cracking up. It’s nostalgia bait but it’s self aware of that and leans in hard. I was cracking up at parts and the cameos were on point. I looked over at my wife a couple times and she was ginning ear to ear.
