A friend of mine was at work the other day. A guy came in to pick up a package and saw my friend wearing a Vandy hat. He told my friend that Vandy really anchored down against Ole Miss. My friend tried to ignore him. Then the guy said that Vandy's coach looked like the whole team had raped him! Then u have the crazy Georgia fan crying cause his team lost! People need to grow up. Football is a game, not life and death.

This one guy happened to be a Vanderbilt fan came on Volnation and started a thread trying to get sympathy for his fellow Vanderbilt fan. People need to grow up and realize we don't give a flying you know what about Vanderbilt. Football is a game. Not one that Vanderbilt is really good at. Thankfully for VU its not life and death.

I am on board with everything you're saying, maybe not as fervently, except when you call it a child's game. It's a bit more than thateace2: and the young men at both UT and Vandy would disagree with your categorizing it as such.

edit: Oh and some good ol' trash talking between fans of opposing schools is fun!!! as long as both are good with it. It's part of the whole sports experience.
