Talking smack happens.

When I'm at work I'll joke around with fans all of the time. When they are purchasing something and I see they are wearing a Bama or gator shirt I say "I have to check id for all Bama fans" or something like that.

One time I had to make a Bama necklace using the beads we sell at the store. I actually told the people this was physically painful for me and they laughed.

Get used to it. There is no crying in football

Trash talk is part of being a fan unfortunately. I'm all for a bit of friendly ribbing if it's someone I know. I don't get into talking smack to strangers unless:
A) it's at the game (and they start it), or
B) it's a rival fan on our board, in which case you've opened yourself up to it imo.

Remind your gator fans that it took them almost 60 years to win an SEC championship, that they've been playing FB for 110 years & have 20 years of tradition & that in 60 years, they'll be where Tennessee is right now as far as winning & tradition. As far as disrespecting a Vandy fan? BWAAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAA. Respect is something that is EARNED, not given!

In the midst of an eight-game losing streak to Johnny Come Lately, waxing nostalgic is a great coping mechanism.

I play bball at the green hills ymca all the time with tons of vandy fans, and they are all very nice. However when I went to the game they were ruthless, but to be fair I was kind of proud of them for finally being able to talk smack

A friend of mine was at work the other day. A guy came in to pick up a package and saw my friend wearing a Vandy hat. He told my friend that Vandy really anchored down against Ole Miss. My friend tried to ignore him. Then the guy said that Vandy's coach looked like the whole team had raped him! Then u have the crazy Georgia fan crying cause his team lost! People need to grow up. Football is a game, not life and death.
You are a vandy fan coming to this board complaining about Tennessee fan disrespecting your friend, and when vandy beat us last year, your vandy fans came out talking smack about us, this is football, maybe your buddy needs to play nerd ball or something that wont get his feelings hurt.:eek:lol:

Its like your little brother after a while its gets boaring beating his azz all the time, then when they get a little aged on them put up a little fight, maybe get sucker punched a time or 2 and then you just beat his azz again to put him back in his place. Thats vandy :)

Probably worth pointing out that that Florida has won 7 SEC titles in the last 20 seasons, while Tennessee has only won 5 in the last 40.

Why just go back 20 or 40? Lets go back 80 or 100?

Oh yeah that's right, you don't want to play that game, because you know the outcome...

Why would I not want to?

Let's go back as far as you want. But in so doing, let's discuss the impact that history has on the current state of whatever programs we're talking about.

I know right?

As if UF fans would trade the past quarter century for 100 years of Tennessee football history and tradition.

That's OK, let the tators revel in their "Johnny come lately" status. Wonder what they will say when they start getting bUTch slapped next time they visit Neyland?
