my personal preferences now:
1. San Diego
2. Green Bay
3. Giants
4. Pats

and 2-4 are probably my least favorite teams in the league.

can you imagine a pats/giants super bowl. the boston/new york fans are already the most arrogant and annoying fans in the country.

go to the tailgate and find some guys with a tv. you'll have more fun that way. you can't see squat from the upper level at the pats stadium.

Well duh, you can get tickets for any game with $$$:p But with what you are willing to pay?

Im talking about the Super Bowl. To go see the Pats beat down anyone that thinks they can play them, i will pay a heavy price.

something tells me the NY fans would be pretty quiet if that were to happen.

in fact, i can't see how anyone would be barking about the possible match up with the pats.

at this point, it'd have to feel more like waiting on death row.

which is kind of funny, all these teams fighting tooth and nail......for the "chance" to win it all.

and the pats are just mowing down everyone in their path. to them it's not the chance to do anything, it's what they're supposed to be doing.

i do hate the patriots, but when it's all said and done, this truly will be one of the all time feats in sports history, and we're all going to be around to see it, like it or not.

i think the only real debate left is where does this rank in sports history? is it better than 80+ wins and a title in the NBA? 120+ wins and a World Series c'ship? better than the grand slam in tennis or golf?

19-0, Super bowl champs in my mind would have no equal in sports. considering how injuries, weather, just the NFL schedule alone, all the moving parts, penalties, turnovers, etc, etc, etc. that can affect a single game, not to mention a season, that isn't necessarily in the team's control, putting all that in perspective, to me, the only other thing, honeslty that could match that is if an NCAA men's basket ball team or an NBA team went undefeated to win it all. i think those two things would equal that, for all the same reasons, and that they play so many more games, and the c'ship series in both sports are longer, and have more games to determine the champion in their respective post seasons. short of that, this to me would be the single greatest team accomplishment....ever. and it's probably going to happen.

giants fans are among the most delusional in the nfl. that's why every vegas line for the giants when they are favored is 2-3 points higher than it would normaly be.

Nicely said Jake, and I will have to agree, its at the top, and its just another reason for me to want to cheer on the pats just to see it. Now would I rather other teams to have done it, sure, but since they are in the position to do so, I hope it happens, it won't happen often.

i'm still hoping it doesn't happen, but that's all it is, hope. it's going to happen.

and i don't know that it will ever happen again. only 4 teams in the history of the NFL have ever done it before, and the three before it did it with a minimum of 2 fewer games and no wild card round in the playoffs.

i'll put it this way, i've seen three teams prior to this in my life time that i've always thought were at or near the top of "best team ever": 85 bears, 89 niners, and the early 90's cowboys, and i wouldn't bet against this year's pats against any of the three. same for my beloved quadrouple SB winning Steelers of the 70's........

Always going to be referencing them just once in your posts now aren't you? :p

The only chance I see of the pats losing to are the packers, only because I think they can continue to score with the pats, its going to be about who's defense steps up.

well, they are my favorite, and it looks like they, the niners, and cowboys are going to have to make room at the table reserved for 4+ SB champions for the pats.

but they still have to get to 5 to match 'em!!!

Go Steelers.:)

And I'm sure the pats will have no problem surpassing the steelers if they are to win this year, 4 in the past 7 years. :) Poor Benny is going to be left behind. :cray:

eh, we'll be fine. there's still a good nucleous in Pittsburgh, a few parts here, a few parts there.

as has been proven over time, the steelers will be in the pictures more times than not.

it'd be different of course if we were more than 2 years removed from our last title.

Those 2 years are quickly going away from us into pats pats and more pats to come.....once again goodbye steelers. :birgits_giggle:
