Do EEs count towards the 28 we can sign on NSD?

Let's do it this way. Tennessee can back count 2 players from last years class since we only signed 23. Those have to be EE. The SEC has a 28 signee per year rule now, but you can only enroll 25 of the 28 that you sign.

So we can only enroll a total of 27 (25 + 2) although we can sign 30 (28 + 2) counting the two back counts. Any number of EE count toward the 27 enrollment limit we will have for 2010.

27 is the number, just remember that. The whole signing over 27 thing isn't going to happen unless it's a players that are true difference makers and we want to sign a place them. Don't look for us to sign over 27 though.

EE's sign scholarship papers but not NLI, you're right. I'm not seeing where we disagree. I'm saying Tennessee can back count 2 scholarships and will have have a 29 or 30-man class (counting EE, JUCO, and HS). Lamaison was back counted wasn't he?

Lamaison was a member of the class of 2009, because he enrolled in 2009. He didn't start in January....he was in school back in the fall.
