Do the Indians have staying power?

Wtf? That wasn't the Cavs' fans' idea. Talk to Nike or the Cavs about that.

I believe buying them and wearing them is a personal decision. We can agree to disagree. Back to the original question, I think the Twinkies will come on to take the central, unless Ricky Vaughn decides to make an appearance.

They won't continue at the rate that they are now but I wouldn't be surprised if they are .500 or better. Choo and Santana aren't even hitting yet.

Johnny come lately fans? Go check the Preds Playoffs thread.

Or the Grizzlies thread.

That can pretty much be said about most teams. You don't think the attendance would suddenly be up for the Pirates or Indians if they were in the playoffs or any other team that hasn't had a lot of past or recent success?

As for the AL Central, I think Detroit is the team to beat.

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on Santana to get going on my fantasy team. At least he draws walks at a nice rate.

For the sake of baseball let's hope they start playing like a Cleveland team. I can't stand Cleveland sports fans, they are an arrogant bunch without a reason to be. At least boston and ny fans have a reason to gloat. Cleveland is full of crappy teams, but its what they deserve.

Gloat that they are beating teams with half the payroll? Yeah...

Even better is when you have 15-30 year olds spouting off about the Yankees 27 championships. Mainly because they were only alive for 5. Not to mention that an 18 year old today for instance would have been 5, 6, 7, and 8 years old for 4 of those championships. I'm really sure they were even old enough to remember watching those games. Most of which they watched on TV.

Nothing personal against the fans that live for today and enjoy watching the teams. It's the ones that always bring up success before they were even born or old enough to remember that piss me off. Example: If the Yankees or Lakers lose and people rub it in(their fans are quick to do it to other teams as well), you can count on half of them to say "We have 27 championships" or "We have 16 championships". :swoon3:

I agree it gets old very fast when people talk about what they did 50 yrs ago, but a teams tradition and history is a reason to be proud. Their is a line between gloating and being a proud fan, and its crossed frequently. Alabama *cough*

I just bought low on him myself. He won't keep hitting like this for long. He's too good to be under the Mendoza line.

Well the difference is huge in the cavs and preds. The preds have a lot of nashvillians now following them, and as hometown fans they should be able to hop on the wagon. But printing shirts with Witness on them is crazy. Witness what, bron choking in the post season?

But people from Cleveland weren't allowed to jump on the LeBron bandwagon WHEN HE WAS IN CLEVELAND?

It's been my experience that consistently crappy teams are capable of producing the best fans in sports. Not always true, but don't see why it wouldn't apply here.

I agree, many people are too impatient in fantasy baseball. It's a game of streaks, they're just more noticeable in April.
