Do the TV broadcasts reduce the sound on the crowd mikes in Neyland/TBA?

UGA last yea was the loudest it’s ever been but it was not 130 dB naturally! Just the same as Kansas City, and Seattle don’t legitimately have their decibel levels, especially KC, total joke!!!

The TV producers definitely manipulate the venue noise based on who and where it is. It happens in all leagues and levels…. The general pattern is the Yankee teams get the boost, followed by teams hosting someone that network disfavors, such as Tennessee, Dallas, Steelers, etc. But most places get turned down, not up. Do the fools not realize that if they let a little bit more noise comes through it actually makes watching the game more entertaining? There bias is so obvious.

The places it happens most is in baseball with the Red Sox and Yankees and it makes me want to smash my TV. It’s so disgusting.

Every report I've seen from TBA yesterday for the Texas game says that the place was very loud. But it didn't sound loud on TV, especially compared to the game at Rupp that followed.

Similarly, being at the football games against Florida and Alabama this year, I know first hand that those crowds were REALLY loud. But when I re-watch those broadcasts on TV, it doesn't sound loud.

It makes me wonder if the mikes that pick up crowd noise are being reduced in Knoxville compared to other venues. Or perhaps it has to do with mike placement?
It's a conspiracy no doubt.
