Do the Vols miss Ramar Smith and Duke Crews?

I went to one game only last year and it was Ramar's 0-14 FT game (or was it 12, I don't remember). That was agonizing to watch and is my lasting memory of him - so I guess I don't miss him.

No, we replaced what they did.
Still working on Lofton and Smith, now that may take longer.

I don't want to get into this argument again; it was hashed out months ago. All I will say is that there is absolutely no way that losing 40% of what would have been your starting lineup wasn't harmful. Ramar had some work to do, Duke had a sophomore slump, but both of those guys would be logging major minutes if they had just not smoked so much of the shrubbery.

Crews wasn't going to start, ever and Ramar wouldn't be starting over Maze at this point.

I'm with hat on the cancer argument, but we could definitely use Ramar to break down some zones.

Maze and Negedu are upgrades IMO but I would like to still have Smith and Crews as backups as long as we still had Maze and Negedu.

I am not close to the programs but why are people calling these guys cancer? Because the smoked dope? I never saw them light one up while on the court. In that case half the NBA and the campus is a cancer.
Crews seemed to be a leader out there at times at least emotionally and Ramar seemed to do his best within the framework of the offense. RS was never a PG if you remember his freshman year he played the 2 more often.
So im not sure to call them cancers is fair, maybe knuckle heads.
I associate cancers with TO

Guys who care so little about their teammates that they repeatedly engage in conduct and frequent establishments after being told to refrain from doing so, thus resulting in their dismissal from the squad=Cancers.

He could do that, but when he had em' broke down was the problem.

Ramar Smith simply wasnt good enough consistently. The only thing I will remember him 4 will be his shot getting blocked by Oden.

Yeah, that's right, Putting their illegal habits and reckless lifestyle in front of the team is selfish.

Ramar is living in Nashville trying to latch on to the local ABA team, the Nashville Broncs. Seemed like a good kid when i saw him a few weeks ago. Said he messed up and blew his chance in Knoxville. I guess it says something that he knew he did it to himself.

There is no bigger waste of time than the ABA. If that's your only option, get a real job.

I wish the best for Ramar. He had a lot of potential, but right now Maze is giving us better point guard play than Smith did last year. Smith would be a better answer at backup than Tabb though.

I don't harbor ill will toward anyone, and hope he makes something of himself in whatever he does. Duke as well.

Speaking of Ramar, it looked like he was still the point guard at the free throw line late in the game today!

I've tried for about 25 minutes now... but I can't think of what that one game has to do with Maze exhibiting Ramar-like free throw shooting late in today's game?

....

Maze shot 50% today.. similar to Chism numbers last year.... Ramar and Maze shoot nothing a like from the line... I'm fairly sure Maze will never shoot 0% from the FT line or anything close to it when shooting 10+ FTs. To compare Maze's FT shooting to Ramar's is an injustice.

I didn't mean for it to sound like I was comparing their whole careers of free throw shooting. Just saying that Maze looked like Ramar at the line late in the game today, that's all.

I guess... but that's really if you only count his last few FTs.. 1/3? It's not like he missed 4 or 5 in a row.. Tyler struggled at the end too missing the front end of a 1 and 1.. and I think missed another FT before that as well.
