Do UT fans play basketball?

I am a UT fan that plays a lot. I probably play a little more football than basketball, but I enjoy playing both sincerely. Are there any other UT fans here who love the game of basketball as much as football?

Just got back from playin for an hour. It's a completely different sport though. I dont know if I like it more...but i sure dont like it less. Its about even.

Don't even follow UT football, but have been a UT basketball fan for a long while. I'm guessing that puts me in the minority :crazy:

I've got nothing against them. I root for them. I just don't follow them. I hope they win every game they play, but I don't find it a necessity to catch every game of theirs.

The reason for this obscurity is that I am the only vol fan of any sort in the DC area so I fell in love with the basketball, not so much the entire school. :dunno:

God chill out. I'm so sick of volnation blowing up and just verbally crucifying kids when they don't start a thread that they see as appropriate. If you have a problem with it...don't comment on it. It's as simple as that.

I love both, but without being born into Tennessee football I would have never become a basketball fan.

Basketball was the only organized sport I ever played, but I'm a bigger fan of football (in general, not in terms of Vols FB or BB as I try to keep'em equal).

Played HS BB for a year. Been playing since I was 8 though, pick up games and whatnot. I've followed football and basketball for years and years now. I love sports.

I love Tennessee basketball, but I LOVE Tennessee football. I played football for 5 years and have never played organized basketball.

Whereas I play high school baseball for year round, very demanding program and have played baseball since I was five. Yet, you would not catch me dead watching a baseball game on TV.

I love and play basketball, but golf is now my competitive outlet. City leaguers just aren't out to win and I don't want 'em on my team.

Played serious rec league basketball up to age 45. Leg spring and reactions diminished enough that I couldn't accept my poor performance relative to the past images stored in my head, so I stopped. Now play golf (very mediocre) and play softball like all the other 50+ folks. Also earned my fun money at UT refereeing intramurals for 3 years. That was a blast. 3-4 games a day, 5 days a week. We got pretty good from the repetition.

I love UT football, it sold me on UT. However, I have played basketball since I was 8(well I just shoot around now) and coached at the high school level for 16 years.

Im 16 watched my first football game when i was 5 and fell in love with it, watched my first basketball game at like 1 day old and played basketball since i was 5 i love football more but play basketball a lot better than i do football.

Football is my first love but I play alot of b-ball at the gym simply because you can play b-ball with yourself or one or two other people alot easier than football.

I've played basketball and football since the first grade. Play basketball almost every day but I love getting football games going. The competition here is pretty boring though

I LOVE all Tennessee athletics, I follow the football & mens & womens basketball teams religiously.

Anyways, I've played basketball since i was 5. Never played in high school though, i really regret that. Me & friends get together every Monday & Thursday nights to play at our church. I also play in a summer rec league here in Newport. I LOVE basketball, it's my first love. I could play basketball all day everyday, but my favorite sport to watch is College football.

I've played ball my whole life and all through high school... I miss competitive basketball.
