We basically know nothing of any value until after the game at FL. The only thing we'll have accomplished before that is looking good against teams we absolutely should have looked good against.

The D-Line looked pretty solid last Saturday.I Still want to see where we are at when it’s time for Texas A&M , Bama, and Ga. Those three have probably recruited the best at the OL position the last several years. Looks promising for sure. Going to be another great year.

Very good barring injury. It’s absolutely essential that Omari and Lott stay healthy. If those two players are intact, we are top flight. Without Simmons, especially if Omari went down, I’d say it massively changes things.

Sorry repost

They will have had 3 weeks to get better by the time we play them. Lot of things can happen in that timespan.
They'll also be desperate. Gators at home, they know their season will fall apart if they lose it. We have to be ready

Too early.
Agreed….these young men have the POTENTIAL to become one of the top DLs in the country; but they aren’t there yet. And we still need to stack about two more good classes for top level depth (which is where the Georgia’s of the world kill people)

Yes, South Carolina came out last fall with their hair on fire. I expect nothing less from the Gators. They will see it as a chance to redeem themselves and play with nothing to lose.

Our pass rush was average last year. It looks like it will be improved. Our run defense will still be elite. I would just like for us to be able to get sacks without having to blitz, which was hard last year. I like blitzing occasionally, but our pass defense is still not elite enough to trust if we're sending 5 or 6 every time.

The other thing that annoys me about our d-line is playing Roman Harrison over Pearce and Josephs. If the young guys start to dominate, you can't just play the older guys for loyalty's sake. Baron or Tyre West at SDE aren't going to be double digit sack guys. They have very good technique and are stout against the run, but you need to get sacks mostly from the Leo position in our defense.
I am confused, the whole purpose of the posted YouTube video was talking about how many people the dline rotates in and out during the game. Don't forget that our defense sees so many plays that even with rotation, everyone gets their snaps.

We don't have a clue yet about the Defense Line. They have played 1 game against a weak Virginia team. We will find out what we have when we play the big dogs.

I don’t know that I’ve seen a P5 Right Tackle have as bad a day as that poor kid for Virginia. He looked like he was on skates out there.

This is how national championship caliber teams look along the line of scrimmage.

We played what’s quite possibly the worst P5 team in the nation. Can we at least see what happens against some SEC teams? Also, I am curious but what makes you even ask this question?

Everyone knows I love our situation on DL and I am excited about linebackers and D overall. I do think if we stay overall healthy our D is going to get better and better. But after only 1 game it is way to early. I think we have one of the better defenses, and if we have a top 5-10 defense I will be very happy. Way to early to proclaim any D truly the best just yet.
