Hooker comes back with a vengeance and the D is way better than the numbers show. Turnover plus margin is big when our Offense is playing up to their potential…11-1, Playoffs or Sugarbowl in our sites…
I trust the team to bounce back and play to their capabilities. I hope it’s a packed house for Mizzou and I’m pretty sure I’m buying tickets for South Carolina in the morning. I’d love to see us show up in Columbia like we did in Baton Rouge. This team has more than earned that.
Missouri’s 4-5 record looks bad, but no SEC team has beat them by more than 7 points including UGA. So, UT’s offense needs to show up refreshed and ready for battle.
The thing to remember is that no one else in the country has the quality personnel and depth that Georgia is able to throw at you in waves with all the 4 and 5-stars, many of whom will be playing on Sunday, and certainly not Missouri, So. Carolina, or Vandy. This game was a learning experience in many ways, but it's also an outlier because of the ridiculous amount of talent on the other side.
I am honestly hoping for another shot at Georgia in the playoffs. That would mean a neutral site, in a dome, and plenty of time to make some adjustments. Plus it's hard to beat a team twice in one year (ask Alabama last year after beating Georgia in the SEC championship. They beat Georgia worse than Georgia beat us and then lost).
