Do You Believe Herbstreit?

I didn't find the Luchs article to be very believable. Especially at the end when he said the reason he came out with the story is b/c of his daughters. I think he came out with the story to make money and to get back at people b/c he failed in the business. Also, his current profession of commercial real estate is in the tank

Did you read the part where several players ADMITTED to taking money?

I guess I'm different, but I think Herbstreit is an excellent analyst.

First off, if that article is true, my God that guy has problems...

Secondly, you know how these ESPN guys are. They don't stray from the company line! Guys, you have to understand, they are paid (very handsomely) to cover the sports and not have their own opinions. Herbstreit is one of ESPN's most notable commentators. His opinion becomes ESPN's opinion, and if he starts talking about stuff like that it looks like ESPN is supporting this kind of stuff. He simply can't speak about it.

If you asked Herbstreit about this situation the day after he leaves ESPN, you will get an entirely different story, I guarantee it.

Dead on....he is an ambassador for college football.....you don't bite the hand the feeds you.

I used to hate him but in recent years I've decided he's not that bad, could be cause I never watch Gameday anymore...

With guys like Dez and Lee next to him, it's hard not to like him or, at the very least, feel sorry for him.
