Do you cheer for any other teams?

Do you cheer for any teams outside of Tennessee?

After attending 3 or 4 away games at South Carolina, I find myself cheering for them when they are not playing the Vols. The fans there are great and the stadium is nice. I guess I have just had good experiences with their fans always being gracious in defeat and not as arrogant as other fans. I have been to Gainesville for the last 3 away games down there, and they are totally the opposite. Horribly arrogant in defeat or victory.

I mainly cheer against teams... if i'm watching a game, i'll usually decide who i'm rooting for
Example: I wanted South Carolina to beat georgia, but i hate south carolina.

That's usually how I do it as well, cheer against the teams I hate/dislike. Wanted to see OSU lose this weekend, but I could care less for USC but I cheered them onto victory! :birgits_giggle:

I generally want Oklahoma to win. I generally want Oregon to win. I generally want Virginia Tech to win.

I also latch onto teams I deem "surprise" teams for that year. This year I'm rooting for Pitt, Michigan State, and North Carolina because I want to be right.

I usually pull for LSU as long as they are not playing the Vols. Other than that, I pull against the teams I hate, or I pull for the underdog.

When it comes to football, I am the exact same. I dated a girl for 4 years that went to LSU and just got to where I liked watching them play and the whole atmosphere down there. Still a far second to Tennessee though. :good!:

The main non-SEC teams I hate are OSU, Miami and more or less VTech, but mainly OSU and Miami.

I pull for tennessee, but have lived in Boone all my life and go to App State.. so that is another team.
Kinda completely different considering the league switch...

Sorta like pulling for the Red Sox then your local minor league team haha...

I have a fondness for Colorado and Kansas, but of course, if they ever were to play Tennessee, I'd turn against them so fast it would not even be funny.

As far as SEC teams, I generally like to see South Carolina, Auburn, and LSU succeed unless their failure benefits us (as in, we're playing them or we need them to lose to achieve something of meaning).

Tennessee and Kentucky are both alma maters for me.

UAB and NIU are both employers/former employers for me.

Pitt has family connections for me.

Georgia Tech since Paul Johnson got there, and still cheer for Navy (and Air Force).

Also any of the schools that have one of my old players on them.

Mostly because of the passing affiliation I have with both.

Now that I see your first post on this thread, I'll change it to "In order to annoy you".:p
you might be surprised.

I'm giving you a hard time, but I cheer for Navy and Air Force any time that they aren't playing the Black Knights.

I also cheer for anyone playing Notre Dame, Alabama or Florida. If Bama played Florida, I'd root for the gators, if Notre Dame played alabama, I'd cheer for Bama.

Next year I will be cheering for Old Dominion as we make our return to collegiate football, but that's a different division.
