I think Ainge's football career is over.  It's a real shame for that much physical talent to be compromised by a mental attitude.

Over? I think not. That's a little drastic don't you think?

play Ainge. RS has been quoted plenty of times saying Clausen restricts what plays you can run because of his arm strength. Not to mention his stats are horrible. 1 TD and 1 interception a game is not gonna get done regardless of how well you manage the offense.

OWB, I think your signature now seems so wrong it's almost hysterical...

Normally UT football is like Zoloft to many people but right now many people need Zoloft because of UT football.

As I said I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's realistic.

No. For God's sake, bring back DC. Get Ainge some outside training somewhere. He's a good QB, he just needs help to get back to his former self.

Bullseye Milo. He would flourish under Cut. Heck send him back home for the summer and pay Bill Walsh to work with the kid. Surely Uncle Danny can help arrange something.

With all the time Clausen had for most of the day yesterday I really believe Ainge would have picked them apart.

With the SEC CG out of the picture he needs an opportunity to learn from his mistakes, get his butt in the film room, and regain a leadership role on this team. Just think what it would do for the kid if he laid the wood to Vandy, KY and a sorry bowl opponent. Afterall they made Clausen look like an all american.

Don't forget that Ainge could get all of his confidence back right where he lost it. Against the Irish!

Clausen has had his emotional win, now it's Ainge is turn. I just hope we can hold the fort down with Bama and SC.

CPF just needs to say Ainge is the QB, and I don't give a crap if he throws 10 picks and fumbles 5 times......we can't win the east and Clausen is gone this year and we are putting up goose eggs for the majority of the game anyway.

I'd say the team has a big say in this.

Someone stated the RC's stats have been horrible - well EA's are worse.

RC has been jacked around quite a bit - best in practice, best in game, yet benched for someone that hasn't shown anything this year.

If the team is behind RC, it is a risk to dump him for someone that hasn't proven himself.

It is also a recipe for disaster to essentially tell the team that the rest of the year is "practice" for next year. What kind of effort will that get.

10-2 is still a possibility with 9-3 or 8-4 pretty likely. The first two will land us in the top 20. Way too soon to call it a season and start prepping for next year.

AMEN!
Start Rick, if the goshdang word (if it is one) Bama, cant fire up a group, then hows un-defeted Bama? (Old Missy, exploits them but still loses)
Ainge, goes in (Zoloft in effect) 2nd - 3rd series, checks off(good act) steps into shotgun, hands off to Riggs, Foster in at RB, run it with him.

Beat Bama !
Who cares how we do it! Pillage, Danny/ Bear, Boo/Who, goes there parking lot, for all its worth, (not much but we own it!) :biggrin2:

As a VOLUNTEER FAN! Whats the next best thing to a championship year? "When the season is shot" from most of you!

P!ss on Buma, and call it a good season! That 3rd saturday in OCT, when else fails, This becomes the "season".

Where's, the fan's that back in the late winter, early spring, that agreed?
This Big Game has that much more meaning! :dunno:
