nope, been robbed twice (majors and manning). I think they got it right the shuler year.

Probably right on Shuler, but he was Tebow before there was a Tebow kind of. He would of won the Heisman if he had patented that ridiculous looking "jump pass" back then. I seriously don't know why every coach with a dual threat QB seems to be in love with that play.

Has anyone from Tennessee ever won the Heisman?

Heath Shuler came in 2nd to Charlie Ward!

Johnny Majors came in 2nd to Notre Dame's Golden Boy, Paul Horning.

Hank L. was a Heisman candidate too.

Manning was 2nd to Woodson.

I personally think that Carl Pickens, Manning and Jamaal Lewis were good enough to win the Heisman....

Carl was playing defense & offense 10 years before Woodson did it.

Yep, It was before my time but Paul Hornung of ND beat him. Of course, I think ND was a sparkling 2-8 that year.

Before my time as well but my dad always tells me that if I think Peyton got screwed it was nothing compared to what they did to Johny.

Woodson over Manning? The first and only time a primarily defensive player won the Heisman just happens to be the same time Peyton deserved it? Yeah I am still miffed about it. ESPN was all over Woodsons and Michigans nuts that year like they were so good. Nebraska would have stomped a mud hole in them the same way they did to us.

Ive never watched the heisman trophy award since. Peyton should have won that yr im not saying that because im a TN fan its because he really was the best player that yr. And alot of people around the nation knew thay Woodson winning the heisman was a joke. I remember how shocked everybody in the crowd on tv was when they didnt call Peytons name. The hesiman trophy is a damn joke. Whats so funny about it is that there hasn't been another defensive player since win it. Only the yr Peyton should have got it a defensive player wins it. That just seems funny to me

thats the only year I have watched it also. I see no reason to watch it unless a Vol is in it.

I am beginning to think the Heisman is a curse. I mean look at the winners from the last 20 years:

excluding Manziel and Winston.

Charlie Ward
Rashaan Salaam
Eddie George
Danny Wuerffle
Charles Woodson
Ricky Williams
Ron Dayne
Chris Weinke
Eric Crouch
Carson Palmer
Jason White
Matt Leinhart
Troy Smith
Tim Tebow
Sam Bradford
Mark Ingram
Cam Newton
RGIII

Not many of these guys have been very successful in the NFL. A few of them have but one would think that Heisman winners would be a little better. If I were a QB I don't think I would want to win the Heisman. The last Heisman winning QB to win a SB was Jim Plunkett and that was 43 years ago.

And now Woodson is non existent , and Peyton is in the discussion as the best ever QB. what a complete joke.

Peyton should have won but even though he lost I remember the class in the way the whole Manning family handled it after the travesty happened

They have got to be the first family of football.

The worst screwing was johnny.Hornung was a good back on a 2win 8loss Notre Dame team. You need to realize that it is law that a midwest team(Ohoho State,Missygan, and the Dame are always in the top ten preseason.
