Interstates actually serve the purpose for which they are intended.

Actuallly, the system was originally created by Eisenhower to protect the US from invasion. He found that during the war Germany had a very hard time moving troops across the country and wanted to make sure that the US could move its troops from one coast to the other very quickly in the event of an invasion.

So technically the roads you use now were designed to protect the us from an invasion....kinda like the wall.

History is fun, isn’t it.

If the property owners are patriotic Americans interested in helping to protect their country from invading 3rd world scum then they should have no problem selling the land. If not, screw them.

Cool story, bro. Let's do this with YOUR property.

So Americans in Texas also own land in Mexico?

Dude. Stop being dense. The wall doesn't respect people's plats. A 100 acre ranch that goes to the edge of the Rio Grande... they're not gonna build the wall right on the river's edge. They'll build it on higher ground a couple hundred feet or yards NORTH of the river.

End result: Landowner's lot is split in two.

Either he can start a gofundme page and have rubes give up their wages or Mexico can pay for it like he said. No tax money should be used, that is the promise he campaigned on and if he went against that he would be a flip flopping liar. We all know he isn’t that.

I feel the exact same way about “ free college and free health care “ ... also the same rules apply to all of them lying about it being free . They are politicians , they lie .

Bernie is saying it will be funded via taxes. If Trump would have campaigned that we will build a wall and we will build it off taxes then get elected more power to him. I didnt like my taxes going to pay for a BS war in iraq for years but there was nothing I could do about it.

I heard about that invasion, a battalion of strollers full of kids wasn't it? Your "actually" trivia is pretty common knowledge, but it doesn't refute that while the interstate system works - a wall won't.

100% chance that the big talkers on this forum would absolutely lose bowel and bladder control in an uncontrolled rage if Uncle Sam showed up to their front door claiming imminent domain.

Big talk when it's someone elses land.

You realize that this splits someone's land in two right?
It happens. I lived in an old farm house in SW Virginia about 40 years ago. The owner explained to me that Interstate 81 went right through his 500 acre farm. The house was on 495 acres on Claytor Lake, and 5 acres were on the other side of the interstate, which took several minutes to drive to. It could have just as easily split it down the middle, if the lay of the land was a bit different.

Not me , I actually think they should be able to , I also would bitch about not being paid for it since I paid for it and pay taxes on it . If we could square that up I wouldn’t complain a bit about it .

If by strollers you mean tanks and if by kids you mean young men barely out of high school like my grandfather who shed blood on that continent so people like you could make jokes about them while you enjoy your first amendment rights....then yes.

I can buy that. I can't buy someone having land on both sides of a border in which his land would be split.

I was talking about the stroller battalions we were promised from Mexico Audie Murphy. Lot of MS-13 tanks rolling into South Padre? Also, when you say people like me, do you mean disabled vets?
