I put their running game slightly better than OU, which we did great against. I put their qb/ passing game much lower than the Sooners!! Their secondary is not good which bodes well for us. I like our chances.

I think the dawgs running game is a good bit better than OU's. The Sooners have a solid running game, but they don't have a Gurley, and I'm not sold that their OL is as good as the dawgs is.

I agree their secondary is suspect, but they do have a good front, and I would prefer not to put Worley in a position again to take a battering all day long. I just don't think we can beat the good running teams without runnng game of our own. It doesn't have to be a great running game; just needs to be able to take some pressure off Worley and extend some drives to keep Gurley & Co. off the field.

Right now I am about a 30% chance for a UT win. UT has showed that can play with anybody, but Georgia has more experienced talent, so it really depends on the Georgia team that shows up. UT deserves the win though, they won last year only to get a unclear possession play overturned by a replay official.

It was a good call, unfortunately.

i expect us to beat Georgia, based on many things...

This teams fight and will to win...
Is it greater than Georgia's? By how much? How was that measured? Which was greatest of all, fight or will?

Based off what we showed against Oklahoma toughness and snap and clear mentality
" Define "snap", and use clear mentality in a sentence" Why just snap, and no Krackle or pop?

The loss to georgia last year
Will that game impact this year's game? I did not know that. Now I am worried about the SC game!

Having a bye week and 2 weeks to prepare means no excuse for losing this game
"So UT wins after every bye week historically"?

Weak crowd due to Noon Kickoff
Here, you have a legit point. That is all.

Georgia is basically one dimensional minus one or two occasional recievers
But it is a devestating one dimension, no?

Georgia doesn't have a great defense
They sure did versus Clemson. Maybe that was to fake everyone out. Holding Clemson to 15 yards in the 2nd half was a ruse? And those 7 sacks? Also a ruse? Wow..

Our Defense should shut their offense down completely.
Completely huh? Going for the shutout too? Hey, tell me the last time in the entire history of the UT/UGA rivalry that UT 'completely shut their offense down". Just for fun.

Coaching should be at our advantage.
Sure, why not. Butch is just better than Richt, right? Even though Richt, in 13 seasons, is 127-46 (.734), has won 2 SECC, 6 East titles, is 8-5 in bowls (never missed a bowl), 3-1 in BCS Bowls, finished Top 10 in nation six times and has almost a 70% winning rate in SEC games. No doubt though, BJ and his 5-7 record in the SEC are likely better.

Georgia's past of snowballing losses.
Never happens to UT though, right? Hey, that wasn't funny was it? Haven't they won their past 2 East titles after losing their first game to SC? Sorry for adding those stupid facts.

GO VOLS!!!:clapping::rock:

Amazing breakdown. Nothing more to say, the OP has written the book. I really dig all of the hard evidence and research. Nothing worse than those occasional threads based upon one guy's gut feelings, especially of the left field variety. Thankfully we were spared from that.

Isn't Chubb going to be out for a while?

Questionable for next week. Likely back for us in 2 weeks.

I'm not nearly as concerned about Chubb as I am them getting back their two deep threat WRs.

10% chance we win. Georgia takes it in a close one by less than 14. I'll still be at the game though.

I think that we will win and that we will travel well!!!

Georgia knows that they are weak in areas and I am sure they know that we are getting better & better.

They are probably hoping that they win and are not completely confident that they will win. I bet that once they beat Troy and start to think of the game between us, they will be unsure if they can beat us. I bet that they will have doudts.

I say we beat them!

Our OL will not improve enough to get the win. Also, this young defense hasn't had to play against a RB like Gurley. UGA by 10 unless they come out flat.

We are going to be a trap game for somebody this season. Why not the dawgs? Assuming we take full advantage I'd the bye week to get healthy and the o line improves some they are beatable.

This is a game that could go our way. Their D is suspect, while our D has done well with some solid offenses. We should be limit Ga scoring, while being able to score ourselves. Likely to come down to the special teams and field position.

Wish we played them this week. They'll be butt hurt after that tough loss to USCe and I expect will struggle early against Troy. By Saturday week they'll have their attitude back. When the Vols roll into to Athens the Dawgs won't be flat. Our best chance is to get as many of the walking wounded back on the field as possible. We desperately need Wolf and Pearson and it would be sweet to have Saulsberry back. The key to a Vol victory is the way they beat USCe last year, keep it close until the 4th Qtr and make a big play.

Tennessee will win. I feel it in the air, and I'm close enough to Athens to feel it already.

Unclear? Huh? They lost an opportunity to win last year because Pig couldn't maintain control of the ball at the goal line and fumbled the ball through the end zone. Played very well.....Georgia played a little better and won the game.

I think we have a fair shot if we don't turn the ball over and catch a break or two. How some of you are thinking they are so one dimensional is very questionable. Their receiving corps is rated as one of the best in the SEC and their QB is competent. Conley, Mitchell, Bennett, and the big TE, Rome are quality receivers. I think their offense is as good as OU's when you factor in they have one of the best ground games in the nation. I gained a lot of confidence in our defense this past week, but we are very much going to have our work cut out for us. I'm already seeing glimpses of the sunshine pumping fans coming back out like before OU. We have a better chance of winning this game I agree, but we still got the same OL as last Saturday night. Don't forget how important the trenches are in SEC play before you go picking us to win with some absurd scores you'll later regret. If we win, which we can, it will be close!

I don't expect it but think we have a better shot than vs the Sooners.

I do expect to win at least one of Florida, GA, SCjr and Ole Miss. This team is going to come together and they will scheme for the lack of depth at OL. Outr defense is good enough to steal 1-2 games we are "supposed" to lose and win all those we expect to win.

I agree. I'll take it one step further....if Butch and staff are who we hope they are and who we need them to be, we'll win 2 of those games.

Our defense will not completely shut their Offense completely down. They get two WRs back. Plus I do not think you can shut Gurley down.

Dammit, gotta agree with gator, they need this game bad. Richt will be under pressure to feed Gurley the ball, the stars are not aligned very well for us in this one.

Yes, I agree also. But, if we can contain Gurley, we have a good chance to come home with a "W". GBO!!!

you can shut gurley down it's called hit them low hit em' extremely hard al la cameron sutton style.

I'm sure that's what Clemson and SC thought as he was trucking them for about 170 yards apiece.
