Do you want Danica in Nascar?

7 (Daytona & Talladega) to 11, I believe.

I see what you're getting at there, but... a win is a win is a win, right?

here's what i was getting at:

Why? According to you, "a win is a win is a win."

Did that change in the last 30 minutes?

of course not.

i was just making sure that if you tried to * one kind of fluke win, you were going * another kind of fluke. so really, by your standards Dale Jr. has only won 11 races. so in reality, since you like to classify winning, he's only 3 wins better than...

wait for it

Kyle Petty.

i love when a plan comes together. :hi:

Nice try. As far as Kyle Petty, he was a decent driver at one point in his career. If Dale Jr. goes another 3 or 4 years of running 25th in points then I will agree with your assessment of him.

Why would someone put an * next to a certain type of track on the schedule? That makes no sense at all. Tidwell clearly pointed out the Jr. has actually won more races on "other tracks."

My point about Danica winning on a fuel mileage race is that she hasn't proven she can win on talent, only strategy at this point.

I agree that a "win is a win" on paper but in my opinion, I think most drivers prefer to beat the best of the best on talent any given race day. Notice that I added "in my opinion."

but you'll watch Stewart, Harvick, Biffle, and Kenseth (to name a few) throw fits and go after drivers after the race like a bunch of 10 year old girls?

because she's a woman she doesn't get a pass for her behavior but the men do? c'mon now.

It's equally as ridiculous. The only difference is they are proven drivers and have won races.

She has only proven to look good in a bikini.

Junior is done. he's only getting older and slower at this point. even Jeff Gordon is showing signs of slowing down.

why would somebody put an * next to a win? that also makes no sense at all.

i mean if stiffs like Derrick Cope, Michael Waltrip, and Ward Burton can win at plate tracks, anybody can win a plate track, right? so by your reasoning, if anybody can do it, talent or not, then it shouldn't count.

i just want you to understand that "in your opinion", Dale Jr has met with the same success as Kyle Petty.

winning does not excuse poor behavior. all it does is cause people to overlook it.

Again, you may be right. If Jr. continues to run like he is now over the next few seasons than I agree. I'm not ready to compare him to Kyle Petty until that happens.

Jr. was just in the chase last season so I don't know how you can foresee that he is done already. If you give up on guys after one bad season than you must think a lot of guys were done at some point. Jeff Burton was horrible at the end of his Roush days, Newman was ready to get out of the 12 car and Jeff Gordon went through a 47 race winless streak until Texas this year. Dale Jr. is only 35 years old. If he slowing down it shouldn't be from his age.

Again, it may turn out that you are right about Jr. but all I am saying is that I need more time before confirming that he is done.

As for the where or how you win thing. I guess we see it different. I happen to believe that passing someone because you're faster has to feel better than passing someone because their fuel tank is empty. I don't see how that relates to where you win.

i happen to believe (as is the general consensus) that holding the trophy in Victory Lane feels the best, no matter how you got there.

At the end of the day, if I have the biggest trophy, the biggest check, and the trophy girl kissing me, I won the race and beat everyone else who had the same track, weather, etc. End of story.

So, how long before she's thrown into Cup? If I understand it right she is going to run some nationwide and truck races first. Right? I might eat my words but I don't think this is gonna work. At least not in the beginning. Did you see how alot of the guys were having to man handle their cars Sun night. Does she have to strength to do that for 500 miles?

danica in nascar can't be any worse than the bastardization that nascar has done to itself in the last 10 years or so. at least she'll be nice to look at in the pre pre race, pre race, post race and post post race shows.

She's supposed to run a few ARCA races as well.
