The hobnail boot crap is the reason I hate Verne Lundquist. He wouldn't shut up about it. I know...good guy blah blah blah....but he acted like it was the greatest nick name ever created...and he was way too excited about it. I loved Vernes professional calls. Guy gets a big gain and all you get from Verne is "oh boy." He can go to he!!.
