Unfortunately after that miraculous win it was all downhill for Butch. And Georgia has run off 6 in a row on us.

There is always that one miserable fan who can't stand to hear anything positive without making a comment like this. Yeah, we know what happened after that but that is not what is being discussed here. Dang.

I watched the replay yesterday and enjoyed every bit of it.

The second greatest thing about the 2016 game was that it ended the endless replays of ole Mushmouth Munson babbling on about crushing skulls with boots. Good lord, he always sounded like pronouncing any word over 1 syllable was a lifetime achievement for him.

John Ward he was not. In any measurable or immeasurable way.

What's crazy is that before Malik Foreman laid an egg in the last 30 seconds, he made a great interception to seal the game for us. Unfortunately, Butch went full on Butch and ran three lay down plays in a row causing us to have to punt instead of winning the game. That's what led to that huge play by Georgia that should have won it. What a game ... At least if you were in Orange LOL!

I would’ve traded that win for a loss for two nattys in the last 7 years any day of the week and it would’ve gotten rid of Butch sooner too if we had lost.

I’ll always remember that game for
1) the great play at the end to win
2) Hurd quitting on his undefeated team in the middle of a game.
2) Yes, apparently he did ... and, not excusing that, but what did Coach Butch say and do to him when he lost that fumble? That was ill-done.

What was better? The Dobbnail Boot or Dixieland Delight? Has to be the Al**ama game, right?
I'm currently hating Georgia more than anyone. That said, the "feeling", absolutely beating bama. It had been so long, and even with the game getting tight and us behind, you could feel it. I can't even explain it, it's just like you knew something special was about to happen.

I guess I’m too old school. Hurd should have had his ass chewed for fumbling that ball. He let up thinking he was coasting in. That’s one I can’t hang on Jones.

Hurd. Built By Rocky Top! Well, that's at least how Bammers would look at it.

I don't know all the charades that the great Butch Jones pulled on the guy. But, whatever was screamed at him after that play ... was not enough!

Re-watched the 4th quarter, I totally forgot UGA scored with under a minute left to take the lead. Watching everyone in the stands celebrate, all the while knowing the final outcome was fun.

Eason could have entered into mythical status had we not won.

I hated that TD they got from the Hooker/Small fumble late in the game. Had that "of course that just happened, it's Tennessee" feeling to it. Even with that happening, it never really felt like we would actually lose that game. You could sense the determination of the players or something. Incredible.

May be the best college game I've ever seen from start to finish.

I agree. My best friend and his little boy drove down here to Georgia from Kentucky to watch the game with me. I acted like a crazy person in front of them, and my wife and kids 🤣

I still laugh about that game. I was in Gulf Shores with my wife for a wedding. As it got closer and closer to time to go she finally got mad and said I could stay and watch the game. Later she tried to shame me about missing the wedding and I had the biggest smile on my face and told her it was the greatest game I'd ever seen, and no wedding could come close. I still laugh out loud when the subject comes up...because she still thinks I should have gone, and I just laugh and tell her I made the absolute best choice.
