Dobbs HAS to be the back up

Dobbs will redshirt this year and this will be his team next year (and probably the year after). Dormady may turn out to be a great one but he will not be able to take over an SEC team as a true freshman.

He can actually execute a single play. Why red shirt him? Dormady will start next year anyway.

I agree that Dobbs has to the back up behind Worley if Worley has to be out for more than a series or two. I also understand why the coaching staff is trying to redshirt him. Contrary to many on this board who have given up on Dobbs, I still be Dobbs can be a tremendous dual threat QB, and I wouldn't be so certain (as some on here are quick to assume) that Dormandy will beat out Josh Dobbs next year.

Why burn a red shirt when Peterman is clearly NOT the future? We want to win now but burning his red shirt for a quarter of play isn't worth it. Remember we are building for the future not just trying to win now...

I don't want to look back in 3 years and ***** about how Jones burned Dobb's redshirt the same way I do about Dooley burning Worley's.

I think Dobbs can be a good QB--I am in that camp. He's got size, he can run more than either Worley or Peterman, and he's got an arm--he's just got to get better. If he's not our QB next year, then we will be screwed because we're damn sure not winning with a true freshman or Peterman. We have a chance to be good next year if we get some decent/good QB play. Without it we'll just have YET ANOTHER crappy, losing season.

Just what did Peterman do in that brief relief work to convince you he can't execute a play? Other than the bad exchange between he and Hurd, I think he did okay. If that fumble was his fault, I will downgrade his performance. Was it?
