Dobbs looks good

How long is he going to be on the shelf? I really think if he can get with the receivers to work on timing and route running, everything will look better next year. I know that sounds obvious, but I think all of the issues he had (some of which were the receivers fault) can be easily fixed. He's a great game manager and despite what people on here say, that's the biggest element in this scheme Butch and Bajayjay want to run.

Until he heals, probably.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor.

I think Worley is the guy next year.

I just can't see it. They can't run the offense they truely want to run with Worley. I think we see why Riley was ahead of Dobbs come Spring Practice and comes out of Spring as the guy and can begin getting familiar with the receivers, and Pearson, hopefully Malone and the TE's who are enrolling early.

Just going on what I've seen. I haven't seen Ferg play so I'm not expcting much.

Makes no sense to backwards. Worley will be a senior and has not proven to be a game changer. I say we have seen our future with Dobbs, unless Ferguson just tears it up in camp. Now, if Worley clearly wins the battle during the Spring, then yes we should go with him. I just personally feel that Worley won the job this year because he was the lesser of the four evils. I think Dobbs will make great strides in the Spring.

Was just me or did Dobbs appear to running a little gimpy tonight. I know that he is not the fastest guy, but he appeared to be running a step slower. I am not bashing, just curious and it looked like he may have had a brace or sleeve on one of his legs.

I know you don't care but bruh, It's Kentucky...Doesn't take much to look decent against them.

Bray and two stud NFL receivers got smoked by UK with a WR playing QB. You are a total doooooche and most people are more than tired of your negative BS. Just stop man.

Was impressed with Dobbs today. The throw he made from the 1 was excellent. He showed poise in the pocket, and for once, he looked comfortable. What I want to know is, where was this last week?

Wasn't at all impressed with Dobbs tonight. Same crap different game. Had a few good passes, a horrible pass that was intercepted, a TD, that shouldn't have been, and a good throw for a TD.

Weak sauce Dobbs, weak sauce.

I agree Goat but I see the small things that I believe will get large over time. Pocket presence, poise, that last TD pass was a threaded rocket. I believe in time he will be Travis Stephens at QB. We all know Travis did next to nothing until he figured things out. Josh accounted for 3 out of 4 scores tonight.

Also threw a perfect pass to Neal that was dropped.

Freshman are typically inconsistent.

Talent wise, Worley is one dimensional...a pocket passer with a weak(er) arm. He might get this team to 6-6 next year, but that does nothing to prepare Dobbs/Furgie/ or Peterman to run the show in 2015... the year of the Vol's comeback (9-3).

Would like to see one of the young QBs, or two take the helm in 2014.

Dobbs needs some serious improvement on his footwork and accuracy. Too many passes sailing on him.

The fact that that actually let him run last night was encouraging.

Well, buddy, I look at it the same way I look at the team overall. While I am no where near ready to anoint him the savior, I did see improvement. He is still erratic and I still hold my breath each time he passes the ball, but he made a few steps in the right direction. I realize that it was against basically high school talent but that's pretty much what he faced in the second half last week and stunk it up. He still has miles to go, but at least he has finally taken the first step or two on the path imo.

Dobbs shouldn't have stepped on the field this year. He needs improvement obviously, but I think the kid showed some things, especially considering he has no TE or WR's.
His right leg is also gimpy and that's his plant foot. Don't know if it affected his throws or not, but it was obviously bothering him, wrapped, and they were working on him on the bench.

I agree. The kid was thrown into a very bad situation and judged harshly for the results. I have been as guilty as anyone for doing this I will freely admit. Let's hope that he has gained some valuable experience from this situation and some mental toughness as well.

if he was an EE and had the whole spring and summer, I would judge a little more harshly. He just got on campus in August. If you think about it, tons of freshman get on campus on August and end up at home in just a few weeks or don't make it past Christmas. Being 18 and at college is tough. Being in Aero Engineering is tougher. Being 18 and leading a team under a new coach and system without wr's and te against the toughest schedule around is a triple whammy. Kid had a lot on his plate in a few months. When I was 18, I wouldn't have been able to handle it.

Dobbs reminds me of Jason Campbell: similar size and arm, I think. Might be a bit more athletic than Campbell.

Compared to last game he looks good. However, our standards should be a little higher. He still does not look even average to me.

I agree, but needs more zip on the ball and legs are too slow. He did do better but I hope we have something better. Receivers also need to learn the plays

Dobbs looks slow, too slow to be a dual threat like Boyd or Winston.
