Dobbs and Fergy both will be pro bowl qb's in the NFL by 2016 according to what I have read about them on VN. They both can evidently walk on water.

I hope your right. If they're in the NFL by 2016, then that means the Vols had a great Qb 2014,15. Lets hope.go vols

A 40-year old Peyton Manning goes ninja-style on the NCAA, destroying all regulations as we know them and paving the way for him to play one last college football game for the Vols. On the very last drive with 8 seconds to go, he fakes the handoff and bootlegs it in for the winning TD. General Neyland is resurrected for the occasion and he, Fulmer, John Ward, and Coach Jones stage a handshake & photograph for the ages. Tennessee goes on to beat both Florida and Alabama in the playoffs and takes home the 2017 National Championship Trophy. Vol fans everywhere's heads simultaneously explode.

Simply put, "I'll have what you're having".

you don't follow recruiting much do you. Unless a 5 star QB pops up I doubt we take one.

That sounds like the dumbest thot ever ... then you think @ what this staff is doing already and you begin to wonder!?!

Jarrett Stidham

I liked this for the novelty of it, but there's a 0% chance it happens. He may not even play in the game. Here's why.

Assuming:
1) The subject of The Great Natty Pete Experiment of 2013 recovers from his embarrassment in Gainesville and turns out to be a serviceable future QB for Tennessee
2) Dobbs and Ferguson redshirt in 2013
3) Jarrett Stidham signs with UT in 2015 and redshirts his true freshman year

Under these conditions, Stidham's looking at a solid No. 4 spot on the QB depth chart as a redshirt freshman in 2016 behind a redshirt senior Peterman, redshirt junior Ferguson, and redshirt junior Dobbs.

I also remembered while figuring all this out that Dobbs is supposed to graduate in 3 years due to AP classes, etc. Assuming that he redshirts this year and stays for the entire term of his eligibility at Tennessee, that gives him a total of 5 years in school. He could leave here with a masters degree.

Im an idiot for sure, but I can see one of these Elite QB's dominating in 2016.

I do not disagree but there is a lot of recruiting to be done and more football to be played. Hard to make that guess when neither of them has yet to see one play on the field.

Who do you guys think will be QB in Bristol?

Of the two, I feel that Dobbs is more likely to transfer. Fergy bleeds Orange and pretty much cancelled all other visits once U.T. offered. Dobbs, however; was looking around at ASU and Georgia Tech but committed to U.T. later in the process than Fergy.

Dobbs may not even transfer himself though, because we have one of the best aerospace engineering programs in the country. So, neither of them may transfer.
