Dobbs playing with hurt hand?

His leg was noticeably hurt in the Kentucky game, and he was still playing (and running) on it. I like that. Very Connor Shaw-esque.

I heard Auburn, but either way, why was Peterman not put not put in the game if he was back?

I think a healthy Peterman would have gave us a better chance than an injured Freshman.

I am thinking we did not have another healthy QB?

Not sure Peterman cold go either, IIRC he still hadn't regained much motion in his hand.

Peterman not back, Worley out for season, Fergs with a fractured leg, Dobbs basically had to tough out any injury or we would have seen Page out there lol.

I'm sure his hand was fine. There are articles from when he started his first game and before that as well where they talked about his struggling with accuracy. He's got some work to do.

I thought there was a shot of him getting treatment on his hand in the game. I am not certain, but I thought I saw that.

Really? same rumor about you going around.

I seldom believe rumors. Most rumors are started by someone wanting to get a reaction. This one did and time to let it go. The season is over and we should be concentrating on recruiting, condition and more recruiting. Let it go,

Sly you have been so negative lately.

I don't remember you being this way

So, I'm negative because I don't believe a rumor about Dobbs hurting his hand. It's not been reported anywhere in the past or now so I don't believe it. Sorry if you think I'm being negative by not believing a rumor posted on VN.

Kessling has a way with words. Unfortunately, ways that I can't understand either. Quit listening to him 10 years ago.

Rumor going around Dobbs was playing with hurt hand? anyone have info to confirm?

Hearing he hurt hand in Auburn game.

He had more than one injury. I remember reading it from a legit site -- either a UT Football proper article or a legit news article but it's been too long ago for my mind fogged brain to recall ATM. But I'm certain that he was indeed hurt (just can't recall much more than that). I'll post info if I come across it and/or my memory jogs.

I remember hearing something happened to him. I didn't pay a lot of attention at the time because 1) I was pissed at the season, and 2) I figured the scoop would come out the next day or so. When nothing else was said, I figured it was the same deal as Fergie's injury.

Yeah, many get injuries that aren't as bad as first reported. I've seen too many announcers pretty much put some player in the hospital only to have them return in the second half. I know Dobbs had some bumps to that might have affected him some but never heard of anything more serious that was lingering. I hope he develops because it would be great to have a dual threat QB. I'd like to see Tennessee develop a good option play for the QB's. A well run option for the QB to either run or flick off to someone else is hard to stop.

We never heard anything on Fergie either. Just saying. :hi:

it may be just a lot of wishful thinking for his lack of accuracy, hopefully he wasn't hurt at all,i did a quick Google and all i seen were Worleys and Petermens injuries to there hand, nothing about Dobbs,CBJ does seem to like to keep things hidden though

Butch also commented on it briefly in one of his post-game interviews. He said that Josh didn't say much about the injury, at the time of its occurrence, to the staff. I also recall seeing a short sideline film clip of Josh receiving treatment on his throwing hand and/or wrist. I don't remember which game, however.

they don't want to say anything about it because teams would go after it or know before a game that we couldn't throw deep. He threw some good throws early on when he played. Gary Danielson stopped midsentence on a throw against bama. I think the leg, hand and late season cold was a perfect storm and know he has a better arm than he showed late in the year. Accuracy has been his issue since he got here, but arm strength was not.
