well...to each their own I spose.
Well...it's a message board and I thought opinions were the purpose. Ive used that same comment when I was just being a dick. Lol.

And I wasn't complaining, I said I tried watching Spiderman 2 and just couldn't get into it. I also wasn't hanging out in the thread, I was alerted by my pal and fellow Regulator.

I loved all the other Spiderman movies and probably will this last one at some point, actually I've enjoyed all the comic book movies, except Batman vs Superman and WW2. I guess I just needed a break from them.

Just got back from watching this. There are some things I really liked, some things not so much. Sam raimis horror side definitely comes out some in this. There’s a few scenes/lines I found kind of cheesy, overall I liked it though.
I’ll say 7/10. Worth watching, but don’t go in expecting too too much.

Just got back, holy crap what a ride.

All I will say is this: the trailer is a bald faced lie lol. If you haven’t seen this movie or read about it, then you have no idea what it’s about.

Also…. second post credits scene…. you’re going to really really love it or really really hate it 😂

Did you watch the 'What If?' series? Just curious. Ive heard its required viewing for this movie.

Overall 4/5

Some thoughts....
I thought after Wandavision we were done with Wanda being the villain.

My theater broke into cheers when Professor Xavier showed up.

I'm pissed at how easily/willingly Marvel just kills off characters now. It appears that was the end of Wanda/Scarlett Witch. Not to mention that version of Captain Carter. The best character from What If? IMO

All so IMO, not a fan off how Marvel has crapped on their newly acquired Fox Studios X-Men characters and now Reed Richards after the Pietro B.S. in Wandavision and now how Xavier & Richards was treated in this.

What happened with Christine sid she go back to her world or stay with Strange? I'd assume there could only be one Christine in each Universe?🤔

Hated It! Then again I've never been a big fan of his.

It was pretty good. I don’t think Sam raimi actually watched wandavision though

Very good. It was and wasn’t what I expected.

One of the big criticisms I’ve seen from media critics is needing to know all the previous shows and movies.

After seeing it I would say only Wanda Vision is a must. If you watched What If then there are Easter Eggs for you but not essential to the story. Loki was not acknowledged at all.

Glad I didn’t take my kids to see it though. The horror elements would have creeped them out.

I was a little disappointed by the lack of major implications in the MCU going forward. This was more of an “explore a bit of the multiverse a bit more” than a “the whole world just opened up and we’re about to get a wave of new characters and storylines”

Really good movie though. I loved it. Some of the killings were absolutely brutal, especially in “that” fight scene.

I think they set the seeds for some very big things down the line.

Reed Richards!!! I mean that was HUGE… “Incursions” are big thing that lead to Secret Wars (2015). Just acknowledging the Multiverse on such a large scale and introducing a character that will be able open portals gives them a Macguffen to bring back anyone post should an actor want to reappear.

I think it’s going to be a slow burn to the next Endgame.

It's been known for over a year that eventually the Fantastic Four and X-Men were coming to the Marvel Universe after Disney acquired Fox Studios returning their film rights to Marvel.

I agree, I was hoping we would see some of the cameos be moved into our universe.

Loki was one of most well executed pieces of original fiction ive seen in a long time. while im not even close to ready for another emdgame, I think what worked so well previously was the linear progression and somrwhat logical intro of material.

I was excited about possibility of Celestials, Kang and or some such intro to a big villain. Not that I minded the SW, but bring in the TVA or some of that linear content

Everybody forgets that after Endgame, it’s like the whole MCU had a reset. Gotta establish the groundwork for this phase. This movie was really good. Sam Raimi was absolutely the right choice for the movie. Hopefully we get more from him.

All in all I loved the movie. It seems to show a fair bit of progression, lays groundwork for later, and was very entertaining. I have to watch it again and ponder on it, but while it's not top 3 , maybe not even 5, I think it's in the top 8.

I still can't decide if the music note battle was, awesome or goofy. I'm tore on that. Part of me watched that and was like wtf is this bs. Another part of me was like that's kinda cool and original, I'd never thought to do that. I dunno.

Been known by the people that follow that type of news but I think the general audience just sees the trailers on TV and shows up at the movie.

Just because something was announced down the pike doesn’t mean there had been any casting news or confirmations. It was a pretty big deal.

Also the Charlize Theron character that showed up at end is Clea. A character that is very important in the Dr Strange mythos.

Occasionally the MCU will make decisions within movies/shows that I think are just “silly” and I wish they hadn’t gone that route.

For instance:

-Fat Thor
-Cap and Thor’s hammer (I hated it)
-Pepper in the iron suit
-The “women united” scene in End Game
(yes I realize so far the are all from End Game)
-The dance off
-The fake out in Iron Man 3
-And in Multiverse of Madness
Strange occupying the dead body in the final fight. Would have been better if they had just done a full power Strange vs Wanda, that was dumb
