Just watched one of the strangest documentaries ever ....

The Speedway Murders on Hulu.

The crimes were horrible and bizarre and have never been solved. Because they occurred on the same weekend as the Jonestown Mass Suicides (November 17-19, 1978) they didn't receive much publicity.

4 teenagers, 2 boys and 2 girls who were working the night shift at a Burger Chef (fast food restaurant that was bought out by Hardee's in 1982) in Speedway, Indiana were kidnapped from within the restaurant, beaten, murdered and dumped in nearby woods on that Friday night. Their bodies were discovered on Sunday. The police botched the investigation and no leads were ever formed. There were no apparent motives. Nothing was stolen from the restaurant. None of the victims were sexually assaulted and the 2 boys both had their wallets with money inside of them.

The documentary does reenactments with actors playing the teenagers to offer theories as to what may have happened to them .... with the actors also shown trying to solve their own murders as ghosts.

If that sounds like it's goofy and in bad taste? Yeah ... pretty much.

Yikes. That sounds terrible, but interesting. Never heard of it but I like these kinds of documentaries, without the ghost bit of course. Post more like these when you find them..

I was at work and logged into my hulu account because we all wanted to watch something and I took some crap for having all of my recommendations being horror movies and murder docs. ha

Just watched the Endurance documentary from National Geographic on Disney+. It was a great documentary that combined searching for the wreck, real photos and "moving pictures" and realistic reenactments.

Definitely recommend to anyone who knows the story already or not.

Forgot to mention there is a book "Endurance" by Alfred Lansing that is a must read by everyone. One of the greatest true stories ever told that most have never heard of.

I get it. The Chris Watts docu was one of the most gut wrenching things I have ever seen. It's wild what humans are actually capable of with a silly motive.

Just watched the first episode of "Scamanda" on ABC. It's on Hulu if you missed it.

It's about a young woman named Amanda Riley, who faked having cancer for years in order to raise money to support her jet-setting lifestyle. My favorite line from the episode:

"Having cancer has brought me closer to Jesus." - Amanda Riley (cancer faker)

She is a next level loon.
