If so, then Strong is a ****ing idiot for taking the scholarship away knowing that that was basically the hush money. With that gone, why would Grant want to keep quiet?

We actually avoided being involved even indirectly with some kind of scandal or negative press. Could our black clouds be lifting? Some good fortune at last.

Well we only know one side of the story because the university wont comment on a pending lawsuit. Those players acted alone and were since then kicked off the team. Don't know why Strong is being named in this. Sounds like its just a pissed off former player trying to get a piece of the Sugar Bowl pie.

I agree, it doesn't make it true, but to hire an attorney and file a suit, kinda convinced me. True or not, not the kind of publicity UT would have wanted.

Well, the medical records should confirm the beating. Doctors can tell the difference. And, there should have been other injuries; bruising, ect. Why were the players dismissed? Strong possibility this is true.

Agreed, and the attorney may be working for a cut, at no front fee. If so, there IS merit.

This story, as presented, has all sorts of holes. And, as an eye doctor myself, that part is not represented very well. Don't be surprised if the player loses this case. Doesn't add up.

According to the news they were arrested for assault and kicked off the team which makes me believe strong handled this the best he knew how and that was to get rid of those players. Again we are just hearing one side of this from a " former" player.
