I guess the Andretti thing didn't work out for them. Sad to see Dodge leave the sport. I was looking forward to seeing the new Dodge on the track.

Does anyone see any other manufactor trying to come in and take Dodge's place?

I can see other manufacturers eventually showing interest, but not with the intention of replacing Dodge. I think it would be cool to see Honda or Nissan step in to challenge Toyota.

My thought is Honda might be the only one to show intrest in NASCAR but I highly doubt they would go that route.

Which is a shame, because their DTMs are sweet.

This is only a good thing in my opinion. More genius from Ralph Gilles. NASCAR is a waste of energy and money for Chrysler. They belong in drag racing, V8 touring car racing, and sportscar racing with the Viper. Nobody really cared about Dodge in Cup anyway.

IMO Nascar is a waste of engery and money because they weren't really winning that much. If they were winning more often, had more than two teams, and were competive on a regular basis it would be worth it.

They couldn't win with Penske running their operation. Penske has won big EVERYWHERE he's been. It was a waste of money, and it went against their ethos. Once NASCAR became a glorified spec series, it was in their best interests to bail. But it was all about the money train.
