1. Vanderbilt.
2. Big haired Tammy Wynette wannabes.
3. A completely unjustified collective sense of importance on the part of the city and its residents.
Thats funny you say Vanderbilt. My first son who graduated from Maryville,2004, and will receive his masters from MTSU in December, just today, was contacted by his school and will be doing his practicum at Vanderbilt this fall, neuropsychology. Its far better than doing it at a prison where initially he was suppose to.You need a teeshirt from Vandy?

If a person from Nashville thinks their hometown is anything more than Branson, MO on steroids, they overestimate the city where they live.

I've had the misfortune of spending more time in Trashville than any human being should be subjected to. I stand by my assessment.

you're too soft and I think you're jealous of Nashville.
Yes. Having lived in New York, and currently residing in Miami, I wish I could live somewhere that Cracker Barrell is considered fine dining and the Wild Horse Saloon is high culture.

wheres the state pride? I understand never wanting the Vols to lose to Vandy, but would ya'll really rather Vandy be a competitive school that goes 8-10 win seasons?...just makes the state look better as a whole. I see other states with more than one competitive div 1 school and they seem the better for it.

No. Any Vanderbilt victory is a disgrace and should be viewed as such.
