Never been a big fan of his but Mystic River was awesome!

Try not to listen to what hollywood says. I enjoy the movies not the lifestyle or political views

I have a hard time figuring why anyone would give a sh** what Penn's or any other actor's political viewpoints are. Some of you must lead dull and uneventful lives. Boycotting an actor's movies because of his political stances is pretty extreme. Sean Penn is a great actor. Most of his movies are really good. The funny thing is that those of you who feel the necessity to take extreme actions, are the ones who shouldn't be listening to him in the first place.

I saw him yesterday on the CBS Sunday morning show and I have to commend him for giving his time and money as well as arranging more financing for Haiti. He's not telling other people to help, he's doing it himself.
But that's the extent of my complements.
Not allowing people the freedom to say as they please? Saying people should die of rectal cancer? Wow. Thanks for no thanks. I'll keep my money and give it to another worthy organization.

If you guys decide to boycott all the liberal actors in Hollywood, the only thing you are going to be watching are old Ronald Reagan and Charleston Heston movies. :)

There is always Jon Voight and Clint Eastwood.

If there is a movie that interests me I'll go see it. The problem is he hasn't played in anything that I'd care to see. He only takes roles he feels are important socially to him, since we see things differently I have no desire to watch them because they don't interest me in the least.

Boycotting is extreme?? Do tell.

Sean Penn's treasonous act of visiting Iraq to run public opinion against the U.S. troops who defend his freedom is about as low as it gets, he'll not ever be the recipient of even one dime of mine, if you're talking about something extreme, how about popping a cap up his whiny sorry little butt.

Problem is that would be a waste of good ammunition.

great actor?

I got a laugh out of myself, he couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag.

Penn met with Hassan Khomeini, grandson of the late Ayatollah Khomeini, on his visit to Tehran in June.

Wonder if Sean got any bail out funds after he had to be rescued from his daring dramatic attempt at heroics in Nawlins?

Don't worry, at the current rate Hollywood is going they will soon be doing remakes of Reagan and Heston movies. Hell they've remade everything else.

Sean Penn seems to be doing just fine despite your <snicker> boycott.

If you call living the life of a serial f..k up doing fine then Sean is doing fine but knowing you, you probably agree that using the word 'dictator' to describe socialist dictator Hugo Chavez by American journalist a crime that should be prosecuted.

I used to like and respect Forest Whitaker until after making 'last king of Scotland' said; "I can now understand why Idi Amin did some of the things he did."

For the record: (practising muslim) Idi Amin ranks right up there on the list of most vile, wicked and cruel of men who ever graced the face of planet Earth.

Question; why doesn't the world court, hague tribunal for crimes against humanity, make at least a feeble attempt to extradite Amin from his palace in Saudi Arabia and prosecute him for his crimes against humanity?
