does anyone really believe Obama cares about what citizens think needs to be done to fix this country? Not a good sign when you ignore a large part of the voting public and just continue along your merry way

For example, Obama said he did not watch any of Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally Saturday on the National Mall.
“It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That's been true throughout our history,” he said. But “what I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be be not good for the nightly news, not good even necessarily for the next election, but are good for the next generation.”

I'm kind of curious as well what exactly is racist about what Beck says. Or is it because you are convinced most people who are conservative are country bumpkins and country bumpkin automatically = racist?

Sure it was political, just like the million man march or any other rally held in DC on the steps of our nations memorials.

These same generic similarities could also be attributed to just about every politician or public speaker today. You'll have to do much better than this in equating Hitler to Beck.

What is foolish about preaching freedom and personal responsibility? The fool is the one who believes he can empower big gov't/business/labor/academia/media and still maintain a free or prosperous country.

Is he over the top? Oh yes, it's the main reason why I don't listen to him: his melodrama grates on me. But the root of what he says is very spot on in my opinion. I just don't understand the power to live and govern be left up to the individual as much as possible being a bad thing.

Them I understand. Those who vote for and follow them and thus empower them that mystify me. I can kind of understand poorly educated gov't dependents. I am just not sure how or why educated people are so easily duped.
