Does anyone think Drae Bowles will ever contribute?

Drea is a great kid. Period. My fiance went to highschool with him and her sister graduated with him. GREAT KID. I even got to meet him at her sisters graduation.

That being said. Most of this year he was hurt but he had a really bad spring practice. She heard he would sit out next year because of his shoulder injury. I know he has already had surgery. He may be a late bloomer but He played on special teams this year and I'm really surprised this staff hasn't moved him to the other side of the ball. I don't think he sees much time at WR in his career.
That being said unless the staff tells him to take a hike I don't see him transferring. Last time I heard he was all VOL.
FWIW I'd love to see him be moved.

If you read through the article, very few of their "can't miss" prospects have ever done anything. I had also forgotten that Carnell Williams was a UT commit at one point. Imagine the "what if's" had we actually landed him. Would it have been the extra factor needed in 2001?

Not in 2001. Obviously would have in 02-04. He wouldn't have taken any carries away from Travis Stephens, who had arguably the best statistical year for a UT RB in history and was 1st team All American.

It's no secret Fulmer couldn't develop talent. He could recruit like a machine back in the day but didn't do much with them when they got on campus. If they weren't ready to hit the ground running like Eric Berry or some others, they really never got much better under Fulmer.

Surely your only fishing for a reply. Fulmer's players were a pipeline for the NFL. I think Butch is doing a great job but I wish our players were half as developed now. Butch will get there, but he needs some more seniors to do it.

Got to watch him play all through high school. The guy is smart, and you can't coach that. He'll develop into quite a weapon within the next three years. He made everyone JCS played look like they were standing still.
