Does Butch tip his hand on his QB choice?

Media days are irrelevant to the QB issue. Worley is the starter and will be all season barring injury. Dobbs is not ready.

With Worley being a senior and NOT being asked to go to SEC media days to represent the Vols do you think it tips Butch's hand that he's not looking at Worley to lead this football team? Most teams with senior QB's bring them to media days. If he does wind up starting Worley I feel bad for Worley not being able to have the experience of media days.

Is Crowder worthy? Yes.

Is AJ worthy? Yes.

Is Maggitt worthy? Yes.

Worley worthy? Yes. If he HAD gone would that have guaranteed him to be the starter? No.

Lane worthy? Maybe.

Randolph worthy? Yes.

Saulsberry? Williams?

Dobbs worthy? Probably.

Jackson? Kerbyson?

My point? The fact that Worley did not go means NOTHING other than 3 other very worthy team leaders and representatives were selected to go. It does not mean he is not the starter or even bring that into question. If he had gone then it would not have proven he was going to be the starter.

This isn't even a mountain out of a mole hill... this is a mountain out of nothing at all.

Would everyone agree we will be a better team everywhere except the trenches?

That could be significant...could mean nothing. If this young group of talented lineman prove to be able to handle the job then the Vols could sneak up and shock some people...namely the so called "experts" on the four letter network.

I don't think our staff has a clue when it comes to deciding on QB's. TN played Oregon for the 3rd game and gets hammered.

What does the staff do? Pull out your starting QB and replace him with a redshirt freshman against Florida in the Swamp... then let that QB (who has terrible passing mechanics) get hammered by calling aggressive passing plays..then half-time put your QB in who you should have started from the beginning.

Also, Dobbs played 4 Full games and 1 half. Worley played 6 Full games and 2 halves. Peterman played 1 half.

Worley should have the edge.

It's more about CM going than anything. Crowder may be a surprise. Maybe bUTch didn't want Worley answering a bunch of dumb questions.

No. It means what we have been told all along, and that the position is still up for grabs. And if Worley had distanced himself from Dobbs, he would most likely have been there. Though I appreciate Worley, you take 3 guys you know are going to be starters. You take the top three lead dogs. Right now, that is Johnson, Maggitt, and Crowder.

This is for Utah State, CBJ is not going to give US a whole pre-season to pre-pare for Worley.

My 2:twocents: is Worley is going to be the starter, and Dobbs will get plays as a 2 headed monster...aka change of pace..
Is this opinion more noteworthy since it is 4 cents worth? :p

He won't tip his hand, but I believe Worley will be the starter. As he should be. I said it last year he was the best qb and should stay the starter, but there were many doubters and Worley haters calling for Dobbs, Peterman, and Riley each time one didn't produce like they thought they would. I like seeing ppl giving Worley some respect now, but in the end all I really care about is the W's, and whoever can get them play that guy. Until that other guy shows up, it should be Worley. GBO!!!

Worley most likely starts the first game...but Dobbs has made strides...it's by no means a foregone conclusion...Butch knew Worley was the starter this time last year...this shows it's more neck to neck.

Can you please ease up on the ellipses? It's extremely distracting.
