Does Dave Hart step down after.....

Yes it was and they unbuckled gave money to hire Saban. We are looking at Golden and Strong. Hardly s competitor with Saban!

Never said they were. Sorry you thought that was what I implied. I just don't think it's necessarily fair or reasonable to think a big name wouldn't accept the Tennessee job because of the "state of our program." I think the state of the program, if you're mainly considering the 5 straight seasons of mediocrity or worse, is enticing. If anything, that's a plus for any coach. I'm not comparing Fisher, or Strong, or whomever they put on the podium to Saban. It is just my opinion that the current state of our program is not a deterrent to a big name hire like Stoops or Gundy. Anyone who turns down the Tennessee job won't be doing so because of the state of the program. IMO JMO IYDLIYCKMA.:)

I have gotten to the point to honestly believing that the Tennessee fan base is the most moronic, misinformed group of people in the United States.

A competent AD would have been able to sell his Product for the Right price to a Big Name. He wouldn't have to go to the B or C list if Money truly isn't an issue...if he were Competent.

Sure. Hart could be the best there is, and Gruden said no. Could be that simple. Or, it could be that he never called until Friday and that was insulting to Gruden and he said no. No one knows.....and that fact alone does not hold enough to fire Hart. If he hires any coach, say Coach John Doe, and coach Doe wins 8 games next year then its a success. Give any hire time. I don't beleive that it has to be a home run hire but the right hire. That is all.

Yes, I think we have a press conference tomorrow in which Dave Hart announces his resignation. And Jimmy Butt Cheek as well.

got to give Hart a chance first,i believe most of the so called big fish, like it where there at,we the fans are just going to have to wait and see what happens, with the hire,I would guess it is going to be a absolutely underwhelming hire and a lot of fans want give them a chance at all,we will just have to give thew new coach a chance and see what happens

No, because Dave Hart gives two sh*** about our nutty fanbase and our unreal expectations...he just cares about doing his job and making the best hire he can for this program in the here and now.

I doubt he will step down after he hires a coach because I think the coach he will hire will be one that most Tennessee fans will like.

I actually like how Hart is taking his time and looking over all the possibilites and not making a hasty decision like Hamilton did last time...We WILL get a good coach but I am actually enjoying the suspense and the mystery...He knows he has to make the right hire and after everybody had Gruden in their minds for so long I really hope the UT family will accept and welcome the new coach and his family no matter who he is.

Until the OP learns the difference between "hear" and "here" he's a dumb ass in my opinion. If you don't know basic grammar you have no credibility.

Coaches will tell you over and over that a meaningful aspect of evaluating a particular job is how well they feel they can work with the AD. There would be absolutely no reason for Dave Hart to make this hire if he planned to retire immediately after doing so. Any coach interviewing for the TN job will want to know who they are answering to, and how that person shapes up in terms of support and assistance.

I have all the confidence that this hire will continue the course of mediocrity. bama dave is not going to get a top notch coach but continue along the low grade dooley quality of coach. I really don't think he gives a damn whether UT gets a decent (yes now expectations are down to this) coach or not. Anybody who thinks hart is truly concerned about the future success of UT is fooling themselves.

I bet somebody sold you a time share on the plateau, right?

Actually, it's completely unrelated in this context so it's a little silly to strip "credibility" because of grammar.

Well I'm willing to wait it out and see who he hires before I go calling for his head. I have a list of coaches I would be thrilled to have, I have a list of coaches I would be happy with, and I have a list of coaches I could deal with and would give a chance. I'm also not being as demanding and specific as many fans and I also realize that some coaches on my lists are simply my pipe dreams.
Now if he hires someone that didn't make my lists and isn't someone comparable to someone on my list that I may have overlooked then I will upset. But my upset won't be me coming on here and anywhere else I can get my message out demanding he be fired or step down. I know doing that won't do anything but make me look foolish. But I will do the one thing I can do and thats not financially support the program until either hart and his coach are gone or until they prove they were worthy of my money and time. Call me a bandwagon fan or whatever else you want but I've spent enough time and money supporting this past coaching hire I wasn't pleased with and after having to deal with it for 3 years I will not just accpet another bad hire and blindly support them. I've dealt with too much embarrassment, jokes and harassment from blindly supporting Dooley and sticking up for him just because he was our coach to ever do or go through that again.

This is pretty much my exact feelings about this. Im willing to give hart a chance. We have no choice. At the same time I think Hart should be held accountable for his hire.
