Some very realible posters (inside AD) I followed since CDD was fired have been locked on Strong. Just looks like Strong has been Hart's bench mark for some time. I just cant see Fl, Ala, Ga, or SC looking at the Big East for a HC. Continued fan base division ahead with Strong.

I really dont know.. I have always heard Fisher was Harts guy now its Strong. Its likely no matter who he hires there will be division among the fans unless/until they start winning games.

It's gonna be a tough 2013 for whoever is brave enough to take on the job at UT head coach. @Oregon, @Florida, @Alabama, UGA, USCjr. All 5 of those teams are in the Top 10 this year.

well I'd say you're wrong considering FL looked to the Mountain West for their big time head coach. Big East > Mountain West

My question to Rucker yesterday was would Strong be a realistic candidate at Bama, Fla, LSU, UGA?? Of Course I got no response, but I already know the answer.

I have quite a few FL fans that I work with. They were pissed that FL didn't get Strong when they got Muschamp. They wanted Strong or Mullen. I have a feeling that he would be a pretty solid hire. FL fans were pissed when he left. I think that Strong would be good for the team. They need a leader. He is going to demand their respect. Problem with Dooley not a single player on the team respected him. They ran over him the entire time he was here.

UF hired a coach from Utah, then a coordinator. Richt was a coordinator. Bama tried to hire a big east coach before he backed out and they talked Saban into taking the job.

Strong has more exp in the SEC then GRUDEN, GUNDY, OR BIMBO FISHER
Strong will do great at UT, D wins games in the SEC

I have also asked on here several times and gotten no answer. How does strong plan on competing with bama, fla, lsu, uga? Is he going to out coach them or out recruit them. I don't see either happening, so we remain in the bottom half of the SEC and are expected to be happy with that.

Listen Devil Dog I think you are incorrect that Hart was transfixed on one coach. This stuff has been in works back channel style for awhile. AD's don't like to waste time interviewing people who have no interest.

The fan base division? I hope the AD doesn't give a crap about fan base division and hires the best possible coach (one that actually wants the job unlike Gruden). No matter who people will *****.

Florida hired a Big 12 DC. UGA hired an ACC OC. Alabama has been through a litany of up and comers like Shula, Francione and Price. Some people need a reality check as far as how this all works.

no tunnel vision, I believe there is a coaching search. UT is doing it's due diligence as names come and go that's what those are reporting. That being said doesn't this all point in a certain direction.......maybe there is somebody he hasn't interviewed yet?

OK name one coach that is a realistic possible hire (you know that wants the job) that you can guarantee will either out coach or out recruit them? There are none.
