Food historian Ken Albala says (via The Conversation) that ketchup is pretty much at the top of the list when it comes to popular condiments in a number of countries, and that's true of Germany, too... sort of. Berlin's condiment of choice is a little different, and it's actually called currywurst sauce.Jul 2, 2019

3 years in Germany, from Munich to Cologne, and I never seent a bottle of ketchup. The only two condiments I can remember are mustard and mayo. JMTCW.

Dude he's quoting is a foody hack that values his own opinion more than anyone else...in my opinion. I personally have way more respect for Rachel Ray and a tad bit more for Sara Lee. Tifwiw.
