I would assume he was already on a short leash with the pushing of the opposing player. His comments will probably get him a fine, he will pay it and go on. Probably worth it for him.

I’m glad they overturned the interception/pass interference play. They made it right, but I’m not sure it should have taken stuff being thrown on the field to make it happen. That with no review makes it look advantageous to act that way.

Will Texas get fined for the bottles thrown on the field. I think it will happen.

The conference will cater to Texas over Georgia. Texas brings in the most money. Really hope A&M beats their ass at the end of the season and knocks them out of the playoffs. Absolutely insufferable fanbase.

I thought holding and pass interference we not reviewable calls? I have never seen them overturn one. What did they base it on, the big screen replay? I was glad they called it but confused on the process.

My fingers are burning right now. Because I'm going to type something that sounds like I might agree with Kirby Smart (shudder}. He's motivating his team. The harder the media and other fanbases are on what he said, the better it works. He's basically "negging" everyone.

Yep. I lived in Norman for 5 years and that's exactly the way it was in that conference. Huge reason aTm jumped ship. Ask any fanbase in that conference and they'll all confirm the bias and favoritism. Thought bama vs Texas for top blue blood status would be interesting to see, but I think saban being gone will let Texas assume the golden child role a lot earlier and easier than I expected. Just one more team that will get zebra help any time we play them. Don't wait. Start Texas hate early.

It’s silly, but yes. While they were talking they were seeing the Jumbotron too. So they reviewed that unreviewable call.

You have no idea what the money and the political sway of Texas is. They’ve ruined every conference they’re a part of. Sec won’t be any different bc they love money; only reason Texas is in this conference is bc it loves money.

The officials badly bungled that DPI call, but it was an abjectly horrible call. It didn’t make them look good, but picking up the flag was the right thing to do imo.

Kirby’s whine and cry routine about nobody gave us a chance and they tried to rob us yada yada…it just comes across as so petty to me.

I believe they said it wasn’t reviewed; rather, the refs had time to discuss b/c of the clean up. I take no issue with another ref coming over and saying “the wr initiated the contact”. The only question is if that conversation happened b/c someone looked at the Jumbotron or if they saw it live.
