first off, i started this thread so i can say whatever i want in it. secondly, i was not in any way bashing mormons by asking if eric ainge is a mormon. i had heard that his uncle danny was and i was simply curious if eric was too. ive metmany mormons and despite their different beliefs, they are mostly nice people with good family values.

Hmm... I can think of John Beck with the Dolphins and Brady Poppinga with the Packers, but no one else who served a mission is coming to mind, although I'm sure there are a couple more.

You can't logically argue that taking two years away from the sport doesn't hurt you. I've heard a former Oakland Raider (who is the only NFL player to ever score a TD on a KR, PR, Rush, Reception, Fumble, and Int) say that it can help you mature, but I would argue that those going on missions aren't the ones struggling with immaturity.

Going to the NFL doesn't have to be someone's goal, but if it is, going on a mission isn't going to help that.

Who cares about how many posts i have. Does that say u have a big package or something. Dang kid if u would read other peoples posts maybe you would see and know that there were some negative things said. Just saying its not cool to say crap about someones faith when u don't know anything about it U take this way to serious man. U must not have a life if this is all you do. You have to be single. Yes, some people said negative things, that happens on message boards, don't take it personal, and if you don't want them to say things they don't know something about, don't say something to them you don't know anything about (marital status, having a life).

I asked JT if Teo would come to Tennessee. He said he has been trying to convince him but said that he doubt he would. He said he was cousins with Teo.
