I think they and ESPN would like to see 4 big name brands With big followings from 4 different parts of the country.Who knows about this committee? they're liable to do anything. The politics of CFB is mind-numbing. Until the other conferences catch up, the SEC always stands a better chance of having two vs. the other Power 5 conferences.
I really really want to see a healthy footed Tillman in the playoffs.I think we're in a great spot being #5.....ready to slide into the vacancy of the Michigan/Ohio St loser. Or the spot when TCU loses. If we take care of business and the players stay healthy, we'll be fine.
I think Oregon presents the biggest concern. If they win out, assuming you get an undefeated SEC champ (uga), undefeated B1G champ (assume OSU) and TCU (assuming they win out), I could see Oregon leaping us as an undefeated conference champ on a 12 game winning streak after losing to the same team we lost to. If TCU loses tonight then we control our destiny imo. But since TCU is presently ahead of us and UM/OSU will eliminate the other, the main concern is Oregon.
