Doesn't sound like Maymon will play

Might want to check Pomeroy on that.
Without Maymon, they're superior at the post. Stokes will get some schooling.
They're superior at the PG. Their PG 2.1 A/To ratio.
And they have 2 3pt shooters averaging 40%

What is Pomeroy's game projection?

I would think home court advantage gives us the edge.

Also, those stats are cumulative for the entire year. We are a different team for half of the year. Hard to encapsulate that using KenPom or Sagarin.

What'd pomeroy say about us AT Florida, and no Stokes???

What's that got to do with Middle TN?
Any one that thinks this game will be a TN rout hasn't done their homework.
MT plays a 10 man rotation of Jrs and Srs. 2 Sophs in the mix.
They don't have a player that shoots under 45% from the 2 and the have 2 players that shoot 40%+ from the 3.
They play both man and zone defense as needed and play both well.
Dendy and Sulton play very well together and without Maymon the advantage goes to Md TN.
Their Jr PG Massey distributes the ball well and has a 2.1 A/To ratio.
If our fan attendance is like it was in the first game there could be more blue in the crowd than orange.
We play gang busters and almost beat a lot of ranked teams but have a tendency to play down to competition if they don't have the big name.
Need I go on?

I get what you're saying...

All I'm saying is that to use kenpom to basically say we're gonna lose without maymon playing isn't necessarily true. This team is weird and gets hyped over things like that, such as without stokes @florida, many thought we were done

I do think it'll be a good game, and that Tennessee better take them much more serious thn they did savannah state.

I've never said we're going to lose.
I do expect a very close competitive game. Maybe even OT. Win or lose buzzer shot.
Not going to pick because I'm the super jinx.

PS With our usual 6-7 minute lapse in the first half, I'd say we'll be down by 10 at intermission.

I can not handle any more buzzer beater/OT games this year, so I hope not.

I thought Kenpom weighed more recent games more heavily than early season games.

arrrrgh...that ain't good. Put a big brace on that knee

bruise would probably mean bone bruise, or bleeding occuring in the bone. Brace wouldn't do much, unless ligaments or tendons are involved.

I imagine he'd wear a sleeve of some sort for his confidence and to keep the knee from getting stiff, but they have to let the bone go through a healing process.

If you push a bone bruise too much, you can cause other problems. Sounds like he got a really hard knee bang or fell hard to the floor and hit one of his femoral condyles pretty hard. They are softer and have more blood supply than the shafts of bones and can bruise as such.

I've been curious about this....the injury apparently was at LSU. He then played vs vandy and ole miss.

If it was gonna be harmful why would he play those game yet now it's too harmful to play on?

Thanks in advance

I assume he just thought he banged knees or something that you usually shake off, then found out later on after his adrenaline from the game was gone.
Maybe the initial injury wasn't given time to heal and the bruise was aggravated. Or maybe the bruise didn't occur at lsu. Seems like I remember him on the right side of the floor grabbing his knee against ole miss and leaning over in some pain.

I have UT in a teaser at 1/2. Then back to the other teaser with MTSU at 8 1/2.

If UT wins, I'll take the loss on the second teaser! But... winning by 8 would be ideal.
