What silent commits do we have and why are they waiting to commit?

This question is asked frequently for whatever reason and the answer is always the same, if they are silent commitments, how would we know?

The whole silent commit strategy is an interesting one. Maybe it's a ploy by coaches to get players to commit silenttly so that the opposing coaches waste their time recruiting these guys ala Nukeese

This could be a reason, but it could also be for another reason

ie, Hendrix comes out and says he's committed. That probably kills our shot with one of our other QB targets. But if he stays silent until later on, we could pull both with ease blah blah blah

Most of the time they are silent due to in state pressure. I don't know about the whole Hendrix situation, because honestly if i was told to keep my commitment silent because Kiffin doesn't want to scare another top tier qb off that would piss me off pretty bad.

I just used that as an example. I really doubt Hendrix is committed right now.

I don't like talking about who may or may not be a silent commit. It makes me nervous. We play a role in this recruiting thing guys. The important thing is to know your role and do it well and don't overstep any boundaries.
