Home owners original video.

Info from Youtube video:
Question: Why did the mom run away?
Answer: After checking his wounds she made sure the dog did not return for a second attempt. The owners were there also and she was bit by the dog as she tried to pin him in his yard. The owners did get control of the dog and secured him in which she immediately returned to attending to our son. I did not include that video because it was not so much about the dog but about the cats actions.

Dog is identified as a Labrador/Chow mix.

I would have shot this dog in it's front yard right in front of it's owner. There wouldn't be any "observation".

That cat is amazing. The damage would have been a lot worse had it not intervened.

Couple things.

1. Where were the parents?

2. The woman at end runs back into the house and the injured toddler is still outside.

Cool video, weird parenting.

Boy was in front of his own house. Mom went back inside to call for help. Neighbors dog has been taken by the city.

When you played outside as a kid, did your mom and/or dad constantly watch your every move? And the mom was out there almost immediately.

Your observation is quite stupid.

Looks like the mom runs in from in front of her house, like she was working in the yard while supervising her kid. But, go ahead and blame her for letting her kid play in his own driveway instead of carrying him in a backpack 24x7.

Kinda seems like there was a lot of video'ing as this was unfolding, and after attack, as opposed to dropping cam and running out there?

Was this film they went back and got from security cams?

That does appear to be security camera footage.
