Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

It’s hard when they go. But it’s better than not having them at all. We lost a boxer and a Boston pretty close together and were down to 4. We said we weren’t going to have that many again but everyone has seen Goose. Our new Boston/Boxer mix. Back to 5. Lol
On behalf of Dog lovers everywhere, thanks for giving Grace a great home. Enjoy the ride.

We're going to spoil her rotten:)

Are bladder stones going to be an ongoing problem? We had a dog (coton) similar to piper who had to have surgery 3 times for bladder stones. It was hereditary.
We're not sure. She's 6 and this is the first issue we've had. The vet said some dogs are prone to it but we're hoping a diet change will help.

That is the age our dog started having them. He was on a science diet food after that. I think it keep him from having acid in his urine. That was a wonderful dog.
Make you regular visits to the vet. Good luck.

Thanks, our Dogs are such a large part of our lives, they truly are our best friends:) they just don't live long enough!

A previous Airedale owner posted this on Youtube:

No, the Airedale is NOT easy to train. Not in the slightest. Please don't be fooled, whoever contemplates getting one! These dogs make it their life mission to push your buttons and they will drive you way past the point of insanity with their constant mischief, and then back again with their charm and smile. They are NOT for the fainthearted. They have famously selective hearing and also, they have strong likes and dislikes. Thus they don't necessarily go well with other dogs at all. Their prey drive is very strong and their intelligence is through the roof. Couple that with their insane amounts of energy and sheer strength and you have a recipe for many disasters. However, they are one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing, partners out there. An Airedale will forever leave their pawprint on your heart and you will likely spend the rest of your life missing him or her after their time is up. Proceed with the utmost caution :)

Having been around them for over 40 years, without a doubt a great dog and not for the weak owner.

Been searching for a female Red-Sable GSD puppy. Contacted several breeders. No luck, thus far. It's hard to even get them to respond. I suppose they want you to unazz the nonrefundable deposit first. Yeah... that ain't happening. Reading reviews are OK, however, we want to visit the kennel first. Dont want an inbred or puppy-mill product.
Update: We have found a local breeder and have scheduled a visit for later this week. 🤞

Piper and the Cone of Shame after having 15 stones removed from her bladder. Vet said the largest was the size of a quail egg and 3 were the size of macadamia nuts.

What breed of dog is Piper? She looks just like my dog Maggie that passed away. I rescued her from the Animal Shelter and they didn't know what she was. Thanks for any help. I would love to have another one like her.

Well after owning dogs my whole life and also living way out in the woods most of that time too, just had my first experience with my dog getting sprayed by a skunk. Fiancé let him out and didn’t see it, he got sprayed right in the face. Immediately took back off inside the house and into our bedroom before we could stop him. To say it’s been a rough night is an understatement. We’ve gone through all the tomato juice, white vinegar and baking soda and peroxide we could get our hands on. Our little guy is okay, and smells better than us or our room does now.
